imo "Rakan at 120% [without his artifact or any magical buffing and with only his physical power]" makes a lot of sense, no?

You know i think the negi is as strong as fate argument is kinda moot at this point because we all know that thanks to rakans chart at this point in time he isnt, we saw how useful raisoku shundo was when rakan got serious. Even though the chart was made a wee bit beforehand it nots really just about raw power. As far as the power and amount of the magic available on hand negi is probably a little bit lower than fate if not his equal. The problem comes in when you start to factor experience. 99% of the reason rakan was able to see through raisoku shundo was because of his experience, not saying power didnt have anything to do with it, but experience was definitely the proving factor. And as far as fate attacking right now, i think it would be wonderfully foolish for him to leave a newly awakened asuna in his minions hands. I dont care how capable they are, were talking about somebody who abilitywise is probably on the same level as rakan and co(asuna's true princess self, not the high school one). In complete honesty i have no idea if negi will be able to beat rakan even with the dual magia erebea, i am very excited to see just what he does. I personally hope he mixes the agilitas fulminis with the incendium armament. I think that whole fire, wind, with a touch of lightning combination would be ridiculous.

On another note who thought that kotarou's second beast form was one of the coolest beast forms theyve ever seen?! The only one i can think of that comes close i shuupus' from houshin engi (taikoubous reiju for all you sennin fans)

Is it not that unusal for war buddies to look into potential? Dosent Negi have alot of potential? How do you effectively measure ones strength? Luck? Experience? Motivation?
I think you guys are looking into a wronged perspective... Racan is just preparing Negi for the final stage...
stop looking at negi's potential and only seeing him as a son of the great hero. of all the the things you said he is only ten. rakan is practically beating a ten year old. imagine what would happen if negi is 17.

as you can see, i can say that too. it's not the wrong perspective, it's a different point of view.

i like kotarou's puppy form more than any of the beast form.

Imagine what Negi'll be like when he's 14, I bet you mean... the same age Nagi was when he first met Jack.

I just read Naruto this week. Took about 20 seconds. Fucking waste of paper compared to Negima.

^ i wanna say 14, but if you add all the time he could spent inside eva or others training dimension ball thingy a year could be 2 or 3 or even more years, so i wanna said 20 but i'm not really sure and end up saying 17.

off topic: yeah compare to naruto this fight is more interesting

Finally Koutaro got nearly a whole chapter all for himself. Now, I think the best part is to come, but I have to say that I am rather tired of Negi's 15-year-old form. IMO one of Negima's strong points is the protagonist being a 10-year-old boy genius. This fight is like any other fight of battle mangas... well maybe a little more interesting, but a little. I enjoyed more those few pages of fight between negi and eva in fantasmagoria.

for some reason i like the older versions better. i guess it looks "cooler" to me than "cuter". though i think negi looks cooler with his hair down instead of a ponytail.
yeah naruto's fight was kind of lame.

i think the pic of his younger self in ch240 pg6 made him look pretty cool, or maybe it was just that face he made..

I understand that on the battlefield there's no place for age or gender, I'm not annoyed about Rakan beating up a 10 year old, what I'm annoyed with is how Rakan scammed a 10 year old.. he set him to be attacked in a performance he did with Kagetarou that puts pro con-artists to shame.. "hey Kage-chan I need you to jump this 10-year old and chop his arm off so that he'll be convinced to become apprenticed to me.."

now if Rakan did this for Negi's sake it's all well and fine (is it really?) but at this point it seems that Rakan did all that for his own sake.. he saw Negi at the tournament, decided something a long the lines "if I swindle him to be my apprentice and teach him magia erebea I'll get a real kick beating him to a pulp later"

Rakan had this intent all along (or at least so I'm convinced) without any consideration to Negi's circumstances and how desperate he was when he joined the tournament..

lol MSN! is not Hunter x Hunter.. the opponent learning your abilities and range of spells doesn't mean you get screwed.. it might give the opponent a little advantage, but in the end it will still depend on how well your opponents abilities can deal with your abilities..

yeah I always thought that Rakan was lucky to run into Negi when Negi is still 10 years old, if this encounter happened when Negi was... say 18 years old Rakan may end up the who gets beaten to a pulp

that's why MSN! beats Naruto every week imo.. even the battle heavy chapters never skimp on dialogue and plot..
