he'll probably have to do that anyway (come up with a new move) if he wants to win..

as for the whole Tosaka thing, Negi is too kind and naive.. he should have Kotarou and Nodoka have a one hour and a half torture/interrogation session with the idiot, find everything he knows and whatever he's arranged, then dump in the bottom of an 10m pit with who ever he told, erase their memories, and they can send a message to the authorities about their location after the tournament.. it's too bad that Haruna isn't there at the moment, she'll probably be very much into a torture/interrogation combo with Nodoka

btw I posted new spoiler links in the RAW thread..

If Negi wants to defeat Rakan, he must use his motivation to his advantage. At the moment, Negi is in a state of shock. Rakan does want teach his student about his limitations. Oddly, Rakan is overconfident. Rakan is thinking that he is going to win. Negi must continue the fight.

Ken's use of the flashbacks is a clue that Negi will become more motivated. Some of the flashbacks are Negi's. Negi must make a decision to stop fighting or to continue the fight until Rakan is defeated. Negi will chose to continue the fight because he has some things which help to motivate him. He had to enter the tournament to help four of his students.

I want Negi to win the fight. He has to figure out how to outsmart Rakan. Since Kotario had likely defeated Kagetario, Negi does have the edge a little. Negi must continue to fight Rakan until he defeats him by sheer will or a result of the time running out.

About Tosaka. He is not aware of the fact that Negi has four powerful allies. Tosaka seems not to be aware of three of Negi's four allies.

You're right, although I doubt Kagetarou would be silly enough to let Negi heal Kotaro without interfering.

You're right, the incantation Negi used for the 1000 bolts in ch.238 is way longer than the one Chao used for Ouranoa Phlogosis. Maybe Negi was able to shorten it a bit after his training, but it's likely still longer.

And what dark-based spells are you talking about? Negi's only got fire, wind, and lightning in his arsenal.
Er, I was referring to Incendium Gehennae, since the incantation made it look like a Fire+Darkness spell to me, much the same way as Jovien Tempestas Fulguriens looks like a Wind+Lightning spell. But you're right, I don't remember him using any purely dark-based magic so far, if you don't count Magia Ereiba itself.

Byakuraishou looks like a magic punch charged with Iaculatio Fulgoris, so you're probably right.

Of course. Isn't Blackest Night the basic dark mode, before Negi loads any spell over it for supplementum and armationem?

We definitely need a list of his spells somewhere. There are too much latin words around, I'm getting confused.
    Preferably with descriptions and translations.

Here's a partial list someone compiled on wikipedia:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_in_Negima

It doesn't include the Thousand Bolts yet, nor Negi's various charged punches.
