    Default artificact question

do you guys think that artifacts are one of a kind? i mean negi obviously has an artifact now but it really just borrows his partners' weapons. do you you guys think that both can summon the same weapon? like asuna would have a sword and negi as well. or is it just limited to just one?

    That's such a specific question...

First of all, I believe that artifacts aren't one of a kind.
That would be that there are other diarium eji around.
Following that logic, if wouldn't be contradictory for both Negi and Asuna to hold a blade.

I think he means to ask whether or not only one instance of the artifact can be held at a time.

Since he was using his copy of their pactio cards though, if I got your question right, then no they should only be able to have one single Ensis Excoricanz, shika shikushiro, etc. at a given time.

That'll be a problem because if Negi is using one of his pactio's artifacts then that pactio won't be able to use her's at that time.

The crux of the matter here is whether Negi's using the exact same artifact as Asuna's

I'm kinda hanging left and right there.
Right now, I'm with yes: it's limited to just one.

Last night, I had such a bad dream about Negima... XD
Nagi actually killed himself out of grief, and Albreo knew about it the whole time!
Then I thought: then why is he still detected on the pactio card?

actually i meant both. i just thought it would be an interesting topic question, though i would find it cheap if asuna has her sword and then negi also pulls out his pactio and now there are two magic canceling swords.

Remember, the sword's not magic canceling.
    It's summon canceling.

People tend to think that Asuna and her artifact are the same thing.

If it was 'summoning' cancel then what exactly are the enemies trying to 'cancel' with Asuna's ability i wonder....

You're doing it again, confusing Asuna's innate ability with her sword's. Ensis Exorcizans can cancel summons on its own, but Asuna can cancel magic in general bare handed. With enough training she could probably cancel summons with _any_ sword or bare handed too.

In that aspect it's similar to Konoka's healing abilities I imagine, we've seen her doing full recovery spells without her fan, but she needs training to be able to do so in any stable manner.

Likely the enemies are going to try to use Asuna's ability again to destroy the magic world, like during the war.

if they want to use asuna's anti magic power they might have used it long ago, when they capture her... what they seek is lying in asuna's locked memory. my oppinion is that asuna of all the people that knew nagi is the only person that know where nagi and the princess whereabout.. or some other very crutial information.
