I agree with all of this except, Rakan recovering from a lightning rock. No wait, you're right. If it hit him in the face it would shatter and there would be no wound to recover from. My bad.

^ you guys forget two important things.
first rakan is as strong as that huge dragon an has an incredibly wierd magical power. so he is bound to make a magical or/and physical barier on his body..
second (well i just made this up) acording to anime or manga rules (see dbz or onepiece for reference) if you increase your speed you loosed your strenght and if you increase your strenght you loose your speed... you can't keep them both. if negi is really that smart he will do this: move in a very high speed until a million of a sec before you wanna make your hit

You missed the part in One Piece where Admiral Kizaru was like... "did you know that speed is actually weight" and moved at the speed of light to slam a dude into a wall like kapow!!

Still, even if his current armationem prioritizes speed, this doesn't mean the boost to strength was negligible at best. *5 of the old spells, chamo said. So... what is that... 16k speed, 4k strength at the least?

I agree with what was said above.. if a Rock hit Rakan at light speed.. the rock will turn to dust without Rakan noticing that something hit him.

even with Negi's magia erebia charged punches it still felt like he's hitting steel.. but Negi was really fortunate to be able to develop a technique that enables him to move at this insane speed, because I think that if Rakan manages to land one punch on him it'll be over..

you miss the fact that it's not the speed of light but the speed of lightning...lightning is not light. if a rock move at the speed of light (300000000m/s) that rock will disolved into not just dust but the most simple particle. if the rock move at the speed of lightning (chamo said that negi is moving in the speed of 150000m/s), that that rock would be like a bullet, and if it hit rakan it will leave a hole on it

no, I wrote that on purpose as it was what I meant.. it doesn't matter if the rock was moving at light speed, lightning speed, or warp 9.. if it's just a rock it'll simply shatter when it hits Rakan's body..

I hope all this high speed rock debate doesn't annoy the mods as it's been going for a while

@ xxsaznpride: yeah no chapter this week, and I have to agree with you right now I'm a lot more interested in Ako's flashback than the ongoing battle.. it's obvious from the chapter that now Makie and Yuna are aware of the fact that Negi=Nagi so I'm wondering if they found out alongside her, or did they figure it out and spoil it for Ako unknowing that the secret was kept from her (it shouldn't be hard for them to figure it out after seeing the loli brigade )

or was it those forbidden relations after all??
