Fate changing sides
do you guys think fate should change sides? i mean if negi was to convince fate and have him join negi's side would you guys agree to this? i personally may want this later on when negi can actually beat fate one to one without any help whatsoever and when fate develops more of a character. but right now he seems the perfect antagonist for negi, he's cool, calculating and cold right now but with weaknesses.
-
with the developments of the latest chapter? definitely no...
-
i don't think he should... if you're talking about him making pactio with Negi then... wait.... let's leave that conversation aside. If he turns now then they should introduce another enemy or this manga would lose its trail.
-
let's just wait until how things turn out... but his stance as a villain really is rock solid... I mean.. destroying the world to save it? wtf...
-
It's 3 to 0 right now XD
He's the only antagonist right now.
Even if another enemy was introduced, if Fate changed sides, it just wouldn't be "cool"...
Although it kinda seems like Fate is following orders.

Since Fate is trying to save the Magic World, he thinks that he is doing the right thing by isolating the Earth and the Magic World. He is the primary antoganist because of his goals. If Fate joins Negi, it has to be a result of Fate learning the truth of the true enemy's real intentions. The true enemy is composed of Ex-Kosmo E. survivors. Their plans seem to be similiar to Fate's. In reality, the true enemy is pretending to be Fate's allies.

I don't think Fate should change sides. That is way over done in so many franchises. Let him just be bad! I am pretty sure he is not the bad guy boss. Ken is saving that for later. The main boss in the series should be big and scary. Someone even Eva is afraid of. Ooooh, maybe her "father"? O_O (Or something!)
Fate is just bad. He may not even believe in the boss's plans/dreams. But he likes challenges like Negi (Son of the Thousand Master.). It's fun and exciting for him. Life is boring to him. He could never be a good guy/hero. He needs things like the current storyline to keep him interested. But he is bad.
I want to see this fully play out. Fate vs. Negi always no matter what. Even if everything falls apart and Fate has nothing to gain he should blindly strive to fight Negi to the very end. Give him one of those Metal Gear deaths/endings where he thanks Negi for being the greatest foe he ever faced. That for a time he had never felt so alive in his long life. He actually thanks Negi as he dies. Now that is the way to go.
I am sick of series villains turning over a new leaf and now in the new series they're heroes. All of their past deeds seemingly forgotten as water under the bridge. It happens way too often now days. Just let a bad guy be a bad guy!

I will agree with Dark Raven. It would fail. I really like this series. I would hate to see in go down the drain.
