Yeah, first time seeing the pictures/photos of Nagi's team I thought that the lil' kid was Fate.

I think someone mentioned that it doesn't look like him at all

In NegiPa, the hair of the mystery member was not white, but brown

Yeah right... can't be Fate. (Or else he should be already at 30's at least)

There are three noticable characteristics of the Mystery Member. The first one is the fact that he is a mage. The second characteristic is his size he is smaller than Nagi. The third characteristic involves the two dimples on his cheeks. Oddly, Chao had two dimples on her face as well as Kaolla Sue of Love Hina. The dimples on the Mystery Member's face are a way for Ken to tell us that he is a tomboy.

We don't know who the Mystery Member is. He is over due to make his appearance. He is a vital member of the Crimson Wing. He may play an important role in Negi's up and coming battle with the Black Hounds.

Well people have been known to dye/bleach their hair you know. Aging will do that to you too. Or dark magic. Even worse, if Fate is a construct then his appearance might not match his maker's.

Yes, well, so should Asuna. And Albeiro should look much older too.
Plus I'm still wondering if time goes the same pace on both worlds.

I kinda doubt Fate is the mystery member too, but when magic is involved, it's a bit pointless arguing physics and logic.

No, we don't know that. We're just assuming since we've seen him so chummy with Nagi.

At the time, yes. If he was a kid then, there's no telling how big he is now.

Mangakas sometimes use this for kids, for "cute", "happy" or like you said, for tomboys.

You're right though, the meeting is overdue. But then again, maybe Ken is keeping him/her in reserve for later. My guess is that we'll learn more about him/her after the Magic World arc, when Negi goes back to investigate his father's disappearance in Turkey.

There's something else that bothers me. Nagi and the Crimson Wing have been said to have stopped the war and unmasked the "Total World" conspirators. Now, I'll admit the C.W. is insanely powerful, but Nagi and Rakan hardly have the smarts for counter-intelligence. Maybe Albeiro or your mystery member had a larger role, behind-the-scene, than mentioned.

Nagi and the Crimson Wing did stop the war twenty years earlier. They have ended the war by exposing the Kosmo E. association. Of course, Nagi and the Crimson were involved in some of the battles during the last weeks of the war. Their greatest battle was the Battle of Ostia. There may have been a few minor battles after the Battle of Ostia. The Battle of Ostia was the turning point and the last major battle of the war.

Now, Negi and his troup are dealing with an organization compose of survivors of the Kosmo E. You call this group "Total World." I will use the name Total World from now on. Total World's goal is to conquer the Magic World. Their plans for the moment are focus on isolating the Magic World from Earth. One way of isolating the two worlds was to destroy the eleven active Magic Gateways.

While the majority of citizens of the Magic World seem not to be totally interest in the Earth, their government continues to maintain a specfic level of contact with Earth. The level of contact between both worlds is a lot similiar to Japan's contact with rest of the world during the Edo Period. The Magic World central government uses the Earth Magi to act as embissaries to Earth.

The main goal of Total World is to conquer the Magic World. They are definately using Fate and his team. Fate thinks that his Total World allies are in his league. Fate wants to protect the Magic World from the corruption of the Old World Earth. Yet, the best way to protect the Magic World from the corruption of the Old World is by maintaining the status quo.

Evidentually sometime in the future before Chao was born, the Earth and the Magic World seem to have establish full contact. The level of the future contact betweeen both worlds is simply unknown at the present time.

Well, Fate did mention his objective was to "save the world". He didn't say which world though. For all we know, he means "saving the Old World by destroying the Magic one" , although I guess breaking the gates would suffice.

The only one who mentioned "World conquest" was Rakan-the-idiot, and even he admitted it was just a wild guess.

I wasn't implying that the CW didn't stop the war, I meant that exposing the conspirators on both sides would requires skills and smarts than neither Nagi nor Rakan seem to have. Nagi was the leader and got more credit, but I'm guessing Albeiro, Konoka's father, Gatou and maybe your mystery member might have had an important role in this.

Anyway, the more immediate concerns are Nodoka, Negi's oncoming fight and how much control he has over his new powers, how Nodoka's friends will react to Negi, what will happen when someone reports the first real Negi-sighting since the gate incident, and what will be the consequence of Negi's cover being blown. Oh, and Ako's reaction.
