Fate's Bosses
We know that Fate is not working alone. He wants to save the Magic from the supposely corruption of the Old World Earth. In order to accomplish his goal, Fate needs allies. His allies are surviving members of the secret organization known as "Kosmo Entelechia." The members of this organization were totally interest in gaining power. Some of the survivors are Fate's bosses.
Fate is likely not aware of the truth that his ex-Kosmo allies are simply using him. Fate's mission seems to be a good one from a certain point of view. He wants to save the Magic World. Fate's bosses are mainly interest in doing anything to gain power.
Fate's bosses are definatlely using him. Once Fate learns the truth of his bosses' true plan, he will likley turn around to stop them. In order to stop his ex-Kosmo allies, Fate must trust Negi and gain his respect.

Am I the only one who thinks that the reason why Nagi "died/dissappeared" was because he changed his ideals and ran to the Magic World to lead Fate's revolt? Also, Nagi's last record of citation was in Istanbul, the same place where Fate's Magic Council is from.

yeah, but unfortunately having nagi as the final boss is extremely cliched. hopefully it won't turn out that way. i would find it interesting if fate decided to join negi. though i'm hoping that won't be as he makes a good villain and a good antagonist for negi, fate helps negi grow in ways that eva and kotaro can't help.

It may be cliche, but It'd be badass.
-
I disagree
it would be... sort of lame...
DEAD TO THE RETARDS!!!
DEAD TO THE FANBOYS!!!
DEAD TO THE WERESHEEP!!!

-
Yes, Nagi as the main villain is very lame. Will he allow himself to form allegiance with the group whom he fought before? It's not just an ordinary fight but a civil war!
-
yar and Fate's like fighting to end the world while Nagi just saved it or something like that...
-
I worded that wrong, maybe not badass. But it would be an interesting twist. Also Negi needs to get over his dad, I mean what about his mom?

Fate is representive of some Japanese villians in manga comics. He is mainly a villian because he is doing something wrong. Even if he thinks that he is doing something right. Some Japanese manga comic villians can change their ways.
I believe that Fate is being used by his bosses. My conclusion about Fate being used came from what Jack Rakan told Negi and the others.

Back during the school festival, Eva mentioned that there are people in the magic world that want to completely cut off from the mundane world. I find it likely that Fate would be working for those ideals, since the first thing he did in the magic world was destroy the gates.
That being said, another character said that Nagi would have likely joined chao in exposing magic, so I doubt that Nagi and Fate are working together. Tho there is a definite connection in Istanbul.
I agree that Fate is prob being used, but only because I dont think hes a real living thing. I think hes just a puppet or golem created by another individual.
