I would bet on a hands off approach from the headmaster. She will probably just say hi, maybe give some help than send her off to Ostia. It would seem out of place in the story for anything else to happen.
As for Yue looking up a way to fight the dragon, it seems to me that that would take way too much time in the middle of a life or death struggle. My money's on a deus ex machina style intervention or "K guys time to gtfo while its confused/stunned/sleeping/etc".
Knowing how this manga works so far, the dragon they will fight off themselves. Then at the end I think the headmaster will approach them. I think she's probably an acquantance of the Mahora headmaster.
Where did the idea that she is Takahata's mom arise from?
hmm... that blondie's gonna be bad news... just a feeling...
just look at her expression... : /
she has an aura of a bounty hunter on her or something...
oh and... so much for being sliced into pieces... XD
Mahou Sensei Negima! 212 page 15 | One Manga
I did some looking around and I can be reasonable sure that Negi's name is not on the card. I've looked on at least half a dozen and didn't see the mages name anywhere. Unless it happens to be on the back because the only pictures of the back that I have seen today were solid black with a white outline.
That's to bad the expression on Iinchou's face would be priceless. Though it's possible that Yue would remember and tell them.
On the topic of pactio's being rare and only given to chosen people remember all of the people that have created pactio cards. Negi, Nagi, school headmasters, Eva and the masters of Toko-sensei and Mana (who are/where presumably Magister Magi or similar). That is a pretty impressive list of strong magi. Think back to Rakan's chart; average Magic World citizen (2), average magic school graduate (100), Magic School Teacher (300). Every one on the Pactio list is either a very powerful mage or a from a powerful linage with lots of Magic potential(Negi). We haven't seen any average magi making pacts.
That should account for a legendary status for the cards.

Ken has likely introduce a character who may have known the Crimson Wing. She is simply puzzle over Yue's identity. The headmaster does have blonde hair. She is more likely related to Jacob Racan. Let's hope that she is a good guy.
I did reread Ch. 212. Emily is thinking that her mother is dying. The doctor told Beatrix that Emily's mother was just having a bad cold

Reason: grammar error
Blonde hair, oh she's related to Jacob Racan, makes sense. Anyway he's tan and she's white, so... You fill in the pieces.

Where did you get that idea? Was it the innocent smile or the cliched 'oh, s/he's interesting, muahahaha'? Without the evil laughter, of course.

Like the difference between the card summoning a simple Mage beginner's book, like Yue thought she had at first, and the thing actually turning out to be a whole portable magic library.
As for the griffin...
The smart thing to do would be _not_ to fight the griffin at all, but just buy some time to get away. Like summoning valkyries for a distraction. They're still in a race, with other people still flying behind them. Of course, assuming the class rep isn't injured from her fall and can still fly her broom.
The second option is to just scare or repel the beast. Maybe some illusion spell, a natural enemy or a weak point described in Yue's book.
Third option is to buy time for reinforcements.
Fourth option is to fight it from a distance, get the 4 girls working together and using group battle tactics.
Fifth option, if the thing is sentient, talk to it, maybe apologize or negociate. Maybe the class rep just hit it in the back and it's mad at her, or something like that.
Last option I can think of, and a suicidal option at that, would be to fight the thing alone, head-on.
With all her newly acquired knowledge and skills, and with Negi's power to supplement hers, Yue can now be a force to be reckoned with. But fighting a griffin-dragon head-on is still more Negi or Kotaro's style, so I'd bet on the other options first.
My prediction is that Yue won't win the race -- which is probably for the best since she's been cheating without knowing it with her pactio -- but the dean sends her to Ostia anyway for her merit in handling the griffin incident.
Either that or the incident makes the news, and Yue's face is seen on the Magic World's version of TV.
As for the dean being evil, I thought she was just showing interest, maybe K.A. just wants to keep her appearance a mystery for now -- maybe she looks like someone we've seen before, a relative of Takane or something.
Of course it's all speculation -- we'll see next week.

I vote Yue fights the griffin head on. It's the smartest thing to do by far.
oh and... lets all hope makie becomes a great mage too.
