Cameo Appearances

Awhile ago, I started rereading Negima from the beginning and noticed something. In chapter eleven toward the end when they announce the class ranking for the final exam there is a random character that looks like Kitsune from Love Hina tossing tickets into the air as if she lost a bet ( the character is between Sakurako and Kugimi) As I've read through the series I see this quite often and I know I've missed some. How many cameos has anyone else spotted and could you say what chapter you saw it in and what character it is?

Well, IT IS Ken's manga. so of course there're some cameo from his other manga...

there are tons of cameos in negima - akamatsu likes doing that. in fact, there's a large debate whether mei (?) comes from the love hina universe. i remember during the festival there was a large pikachu-like costume, as well as an eva-like mecha.

There were a couple.

• Haitani and Shirai were there too. One of them was driving a van and Negi used some magic to save a cat. The guy in the van looked like the thinner one. I can't remember which ones which, but Keitaro can't even remember them at all, haha.

• In the sixth volume there was a library in Nagi's house, and some of the books were titled "Love Hina".

I also believe that Mei in the story could be Naru's sister. They are half sisters anyways, so Mei could be from the side of the family that was familiar with magic. Besides, they look exactly the same, as well as the age and name. Suspicous?

I'm sorry, which one's Mei? I looked through the roster, and I can't find her.

Mei isn't in the roster, she's Takane's friend. Reread the beginning of the Mahora Tournament and you'll find her.

I checked the Kitsune sighting in chapter 11 and it's Ku Fei. Check and out fit and hair then compare it to her later in the chapter and you'll find it's a match.

Nakamura Tatsuya from the tournament uses Kamehameha when fighting Chao's robot army.

The Tanaka in the Martian Robot Army look remarkably like the terminator played by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

You're completely right except for the fact that she's not one of Negi's students and that she is not an assistant of Takane D. Goodman. Their relationship is more of a friendship, but is based on a sempai/kohai type of relationship, which may be the reason why it comes off to be like she's an "assistant".
