there is one more thing that has not been though of if you read someones mind you have acess to everything they know and magic is just as much about knowing how things work as it is about power so its possible that she might be able to acess other peoples spell that they know and might be able to look into more than what they are just thinking on the surface

Nodaka's power works well with another person. Take Haruna for example. This is how it'll go.

Nodoka: What are you afraid of?
    Enemy: I'm not telling
    *Reads mind*
    Nodoka: Haruna! He hates vegetables!
*Haruna draws a giant walking carrot*

    The end?

nice idea but thats only if the person is truly terrified of something to the point of them being unable to move me im afraid of things but that does not paralize me with fear

to be honest she has got the most useful ability so far.
but if she can only use one book why is it that there are several books on her pactio.
think she might not be able to use it to her full potential like asuna?

She seems like the kind of character that when faced with adversity would do anything to help her friends, at her own expense.

Tho a Nodoka with martial arts training would be pretty sweet. Her calmer nature would make her really adept (with training) at some of the soft ki martial arts like Aikido.
Imagine if you will a garden with a beautiful blossom tree and a koi pond...

...Next imagine me drowning you in that very koi pond...

That is the power of feng shui...

Yeah, but her golems aren't invencible. Besides she has a huge weakpoint, thats her artist book. Her art probably doesn't have the best defense. Possibly weak against water.

Atrum, i think he was talking about Nodoka, because I don't remember seeing any books on Haru's pactio. In fact, I'm not even sure we've seen it.

Btw, we once saw Haru being able to draw herself drawing something to make her comic book. Does that mean that she can use a decoy Haru and her decoy can make stuff too?

Oh, I guess I quoted the wrong person. And I mean her Artist Sketch Book. And also if she is in front of someone fighting, she can't always make decoys. Strong people will be able to sense its not her by depcting the amount of magic she holds. Also speed is affected. She's fast, but she won't be able to react in a second all the time.

Nodoka does have the most useful ability.

sorry i was talking about nodoka not paru.
but i agree with you that they could be comparable to onmyou magic of the eastern mages.
and i think their major weakness would be asunas ability to null anything magical.
