does this mean we can talk about the latest chapter released? or is it a general question thread?

i think the former.

well, i guess i'll start us off. the latest chapter was kinda... meh-ish ? it wasn't particularly exciting or amusing. i think it would've been a lot better if akamatsu just left non-magic people back at mahora, instead of dragging along an entire class.

it felt really rushed imo, my gripes wiht it

1.they met negi's party way too soon

2.Wish the country could have been explored a little more

The good thing is i believe the magic and non-magic groups will be separated when they visit the magic country, and maybe introduce somone to magic, im guessing it's yuuna since we already have hints about her in the chapters,

That's what I'm hoping for. More pactio cards and stuff.

But yes, the last chapter felt... bleh. reminds me of naruto fillers
before the time skip.
Still, it was kinda funny.

i guess he wanted to fill in some things before the action starts. plus it doesn't seem that akumatsu is one to just go straight into the action.

More mages got turned to stone than I thought. Its was like a whole cellar of terracotta soldiers. I wonder how many people actually survived that incident. Plus what struck me as strange is that Anya said the town was Negi's home during his age of 5 to 10. Is it a translation error? I was under the impression that Negi was born there or at least was raised from near time of birth. This means anything could have happened around Negis toddlerhood that eventually brought him over to the town (Maybe his mother or Nagi left him there for safety). Odd how little recollection Negi has over that toddler period (memory modification possibilities there)

it's an interesting plot plot that will probably be delved into later.. it's not surprising though, that he wasn't there since he was born: his dad was the wandering type, so most likely he got someone pregnant somewhere, and when he ended up at the town, he decided to leave his son there (sorta like hxh).
