In Chapter 182, we see Asakura leaving with the rest of the group, but we don't see Sayo. However they are kind of a team, or at least Sayo is kind of stuck on Asakura... In the middle of Chapter 182, around page 6 we see Asakura packing her bag and on top of which is a Sayo looking doll, anyone else thinks that Sayo will be leaving with the group to Wales?
i guess it is possble that sayo will leave the school with them. i guess she will be possessing the doll which will allow her to leave school. actually she can already leave the school and go to nearby places already maybe she really isn't limited to just the school.
nah it's been stated somewhere that she can only haunt the place near her death, so she can only be around mahora. As for the sayo plushie, well your guess is as good as mine.

she said she was a trapped soul yet she can go to places near the school, so i guess there is a possibility that she can actually leave farther than that. plus she has attended the mahora tournament and eva's place she i think is pretty far from the school. so i am guessing that she also may be able to leave the country as well, unless the whole ghosts cannot cross running water or complications on the airplane will make her stay in japan.
I love Sayo, she's those characters that grow on you. Hopefully they did some mambo jumbo on the plushie that allows her to leave the school and go to Wales. Being a trapped spirit in a school for 60 years has to get really really boring after some time and now that she has some real friends, it's sad that she can't go on an adventure with them.... especially since she already missed the Kyoto class trip.
Although Sayo said it herself she can't leave the school grounds, Sayo didn't know any magicians the like of Negi, Eva and Setsuna before either. They might have something to help her overcome the "stuck haunting one place" problem that is the plushie.
I myself am hoping the doll is a medium for Sayo, she is one like Parrywrinkle said 'Grows on you' I like the idea that only a few can see her. I think its a go due to the fact that Asakura said she need time to work on the doll, (wasn't fully said but was hinted) in the last few frames before the end of that chapter...
But if she can't go, Maybe there will be a few scenes with her and Zazie back at the school, seeing has Sayo has found out she can see her and with Asakura gone might become lonely...
I know the first anime doesn't follow the manga but Sayo's story in the anime was too touching. Now I wonder what kind of story Akamatsu will weave for her in the manga.
i was right. she will possess the doll and she can make it move though i don't know what they are talking about in the chapter.
oh well the doll thing was half expected though by many people, reminds me of chibi setsuna.
