Thread: Asuna is twice her age!! I think

I think you guys are breathing why to much into this Asuna age thing. Remember this is a manga/anime so the artiste can make the character's look how every he/she wants. I've seen it in tunes of anime and manga a teenager is either short and kiddy like or every well developed. As for the inconsistencies in the stories time line it's more of the fault of the writer himself and not that I have anything against he's made an awesome story. I just he crearify things like when the story actually takes place, birth dates, and what not.

Asuna not being in her true age is INTENTIONALY done by the writer. it obvious as the story goes on more hints will be posted about asuna before we get into the "Asuna Arc + X" (X being some kind of other battle/war/drama etc, maybe about negi-kuns father?).

if you don't believe then reread some volumes, get a hint.

personally i'm pissed that he hasn't revealed it yet- i hate ongoing mysteries please get it over with it. ofcourse from the looks of it; it won't nbe revealed for years....

Don't worry about these plot points, Akamatsu's usually got everything pretty well planned out. I trust him to come up with something at least remotely plausible and tie up any loose ends.

Having said that, Asuna being twice as old as Negi blows my mind.

well they never said that the war that destroyed Asuna's country was the great mage war 20 years ago (most likely it was some smallscale war between two countrys over Asuna, her power seems to be pretty valuable). Also if you look at the pictures you see that Nagi and the rest aren't changing till his/their disappearence 10 years prior to the story, so unless all of them aren't aging for 10 years...(also where's that big guy with the sword? or that little guy?)

With this said I really believe that Asuna is just 15 years old (maybe 16) and travelled a few month with Nagi and his team from her home country to Istanbul, where Gatou died and Nagi disappeared.

During that time Asuna was being saved, WAS the mage war so...yeah about 20 years ago.

The small dude in the picture is takamichi takahata, the other guy in the pic that kinda looks like him is his master gatou kagura vandenburg (is there a connection between gatou KAGURA vandenburg and asuna KAGURAZAKA? maybe takamichi made that her name when signing her up for school in honor of gatou [i think thats how you spell his name]) and the picture was 20 years ago as stated by eishun, thats why takamichi is a little boy, he is older now because of his YEARS of training in eva's resort to master kankaho.

we don't know who the big guy is. he may be in the next arc though. he did takahata did name asuna's last name in honor of his master. and the kid in the picture is not takamichi mostly because the picture is called nagi and his comrade in arms. we found out that takamichi was trying hard to catch up to them and in a flashback he was still training under gatou. there would be no way that they would put takamichi in battle if it is strongly implied that he was that weak.

That's correct. In Volume 14 Chapter 129, when Takane was explaining to Asuna about the Crimson Wing, we see a shot of Nagi's group. In it, the boy is between Nagi and Eishun, and he looks extremely confident. On the far right of that group there's another teenish looking boy who looks flustered. That would most likely be Takahata. So Takahata is not the boy in the picture of Nagi's group Eishun gave Negi.

Well yeah, but the war may have lasted longer than 4 years so then that would have mean takahata would have aged and he could have been either one (i say the flustered one). i alwas thought Fate was the boy in the picture before.

Could be. But then Eishun would have recognised Fate during the Kyoto arc when he attacked.

well how about this?

asuna is actually Negi's mother....i wonder why people never thought about who Negi's mother might be
