no it's localization so that people don't have to keep reading subtitles. anyway it was kind of funny but i still don't like their voices.
Like I said before if they are going to dub it they should put MORE effrot in it. Shows how the original work shows alot of dedication.

Negi voice is terrible, and I understand that he is supposed to be British but that was just bad in general...
Aside from that the project just won't work very well in english because of the extreame amout of jokes, puns and story arks that come from the japanesse language and culture. Example the yakkayuken mistake that negi made. Did anyone read the english version.... They called it baseball jaken that dosen't make sense no matter how you look at it... The pun that is Negi's nickname is totally lost intranslation...
They should have just done what aqua star did when they translated this...
