I swear when I heard how much those voices don't work at all, my ear bled. I understand the TERRIBLE PRONUNCUATION OF WORDS, but thats because they're white. Guess the dubbers were trying to emphasize it.

English dubs fail as well because of the English language.

There is a lot lost in translation even in subbing, much less to say through dubbing.

If thats an English/Welsh voice, then I speak Swahili. Why do dubs always sound crap? Its as if they deliberately put on some annoying squeaky voice because they think its a professional thing to do (like they are trying to emulate squeaky Japanese voices). SPEAK NORMALLY GOD DAMN IT!

Yeah, I think part of the problem is that the English dubs try to imitate the Japanese seiyuus by being squeaky. What they probably don't get is that these seiyuus are professionals; they don't just sound cute, they create the voice for the character they are voicing. Literally.

That should be the approach taken by the English dubbers. Watch the anime first. Learn what the character is about. And create a voice to suit the character.

To put it bluntly, I don't like any dub that's not Japanese for an anime. But there are good ones out there. My bet is that those people are the type who actually like the show they're dubbing a character for. Well, I don't really want to be a dubber so what do I know, right?

    - The "gb" still made it suck. XD

Imo, the subbed and dubbed versions of negima both sucked. I've seen all the dubbed and the subbed. Out of the two Subbed is better, but the manga is still ftw.
