Well if Nodoka mention a name before she activates her artifact she'd know what that person is thinking right? then if thats the case wont it be possible to know what Nagi is thinking? well since thats the effect of the artifact and all.

it probably doesn't work quite like that... or she'd be reading the minds of all the people in the world who shares the same name xP
i reckon the person in question must be someone she knows well, or if it's not, then she must speak to the person the mind reading is done upon directly. like how she does to kotarou in the kyoto arc, that... uh... what's her name? mei, i think. the mage student with a broom artifact during the chao arc, when they're looking for negi... think she does it to sayo (ghost girl) too.
or maybe it works like a death note, you must know the name and face of the person you want(though i guess she would know after the battle tournament...)
People say I'm crazy. I like it, it makes me happy.
Well, her diary is a plain application of telepathy, right?
And even Chamomile can block telepathy. So Nagi is probably not reachable telepatically, otherwise mages would've found him long ago. Remember, there was a skilled telepath (cocone or what was chibi nun's name) even in Mahora, so in the world there's probably a lot of them in the world.
Plus, there's a range limit on Nodoka's book. Unless Nagi is in Mahora, i doubt it would be able to read his thoughts, either way.
I would have to agree w/ konfz, i'm sure there is a range on her powers, which i'm sure is expanding with her power growing. I would also think she would have to visibly see a person before she reads their mind.
Just what would he be thinking if it were possible though?
Nagi kind of strikes me as the type of guy that would probably be thinking of something pretty random.
Imagine if you will a garden with a beautiful blossom tree and a koi pond...
...Next imagine me drowning you in that very koi pond...
That is the power of feng shui...
i'm pretty sure there's a range on the her ability though... i recall it being discussed over at AQS. in any case, it'd be too rigged if she could read anyone's mind at any distance, as long as she knows the name.
it'd be interesting to see what goes on in Nagi's head though
She hasen't used it to find out where Nagi is because it would sort of finish the story a bit early. Ken probably wasen't thinking of that when he wrote the book into the story...
