Thread: these words mean? "Bouzu, Imma"

I read MSN manga and saw Chao's word. She called Negi that "Negi Bouzu". What does it mean? And Eva called Coronel that "Imma" too.

Well, I just want to know. That's all.

Imma is the colonel real name. as for bouzu, as much as my limited knowledge can help me, it means brat, punk, boy and any such similar expressions.

i thought it was used in conjunction with negi to mean onion... or is it that negi by itself means onion... does that mean she's calling him onion or onion boy?

That is awesome, but do they ever explain how an Englishman got the name "Neji"?

His name's not Neji... that's the white-eye Naruto dude.

It's Negi... which... only God could know how he got that kind of name in Wales.
~ Then again, Chao Lingshen... So there's probably Asian blood in Negi, too.

Ah! thanks for pointing that out, I've only been aware of this manga for a few weeks, but even with 90 chapters under my belt, I still missed that.

Nagi is an old celtic name meaning angle, from what I've heard, so perhaps he hooked up with a Japanese mage?...

Or maybe Nagi had a sense of humor and gave Negi his namesake himself before departing.

Or maybe Ken (Writer of Negima) was being smart the day of naming the Main Character's father and decided to just change one letter to show that Negi is much like his father but slightly different... It is one letter E - A and in Japanese letters its not far from each other as well...

Oh and I think that Negi is a Welsh name, I can ask my Grandmother some day, but then again maybe not...
Maybe Ken picked it for the whole Negi Bozu joke...
