Thread: Theories on the Thousand Master

okay, who has theories about the Thousand Master. So far we know that he pretty much is a child progidy even though he dropped out of school.
He has at least one pactio and that is with Albiero.
He needs a pocket book filled with spells.
He was a hero in the previous war at the age of fifteen.
Has some relationship with Asuna.
So anything i forgot just tell me and post your theories.

And to keep this post related, i think there might be a blood pactio, so albireo doesnt have to kiss him. And thousand master may not actually refer to anything that has been mentioned so far (thousand pactios, thousand chicks, thousand spells... etc)

Negi can't be Nagi, as stated in other threads, because negi saw Nagi as a child. And for one thing, what about Negi's mother, where the hell is she?

Well I'm still for the whole Negi is Nagi thing, with time travel playing an important role during the Mahora Festival arc, it's not to far feteched to speculate that negi met himself from the future, saved his past self when he's older. kind of like how in SPOILERS:

I harry potter he went back in time to save himself from the dememtors in the prisoner of azkaban.

I do agree though that we have yet to see or here about his mother.

Problem with that theory:

The Cassiopeia is the only shown way of time travel in the manga, and although it may not be the only way for time travel, it is established that time travel requires enormous amounts of magic energy and a high enough level of technology. Although the technology is there, where is the magic source? Negi can't have reached that kind of power, to be able to travel a long time into the past AND to fight against the demons consequently. Sure, that explanation can be debunked, but what about the staff? Wood rots, you know.

It has been established that Nagi is still alive, whereas that far-fetched reference to Harry Potter is unapplicable due to James being established as already dead. Parallelisms won't necessarily work, as Negima is made by Ken Akamatsu and NOT by J.K. Rowling. Capish?

Well, as for the 'wood rots' argument:
1) Magical wood mustn't necessarily rot... it may even evolve as time passes. It's magic after all...
2) maybe it wasn't the same staff, and Adult Negi may have created a replica for the young Negi to use
3) Adult Negi may have obtained the real 1000 master's staff, and given it to young one, and only then it became his own.

That said, i don't like time paradoxes either...

Presonally i like to think Nagi's got into some magical troble, like having to stop hordes of demons from invading the world, and is unable to even communicate with the rest of the world, due to the nature of the place where he is...
Those demons attacking the village were due to the fact he got distracted or something...

I'm well aware that Ken Akamatsu created Negima and J.K Rowling created the Harry potter. Please Please don't make it sound like I really can't tell the difference, I'm merely pointing out a possiblie comparison IF it were a time traveling scenario. As for the counter argument, Flannan pretty much said it already. Thanks Flannan! Also to add to that, you speak about the high source of magical power, keep in mind what the demon said while fighting "Nagi". "At this level of power it's hard to tell which on of us is the monster." Suggesting that this Nagi has a supposed enourmous amount of power. Perhaps the kind of power needed to time travel. And you said so yourself as of this latest arc. THe Cassiopeia is the only KNOWN, and I put emphasis on the word KNOWN way to travel through time, meaning ther's still a high possiblity that other alternivites exisit.

Yes Nagi is alive as said by Albeireo but it again it's not to far fetched to say though that the "Nagi" that came and saved the child Negi could be an older Negi.

Both Cassiopeia have be broken you know, So even with the added boost of the World Trees power (Some 22yrs later) Negi would still need to have something like the Cassiopeia to travel back...
And I don't see Negi making another one, do you... He may be smart but Chao was way more so and now she well is back where ever she came from...


Oh and as a note, there is many more ways to preform the Pactio, it was slightly noted by Chamo when he trys to get Negi a partner at the start...
There is the Kissing one, but then theres 'Blood Brother Oaths' and a 'Time Sync' style (My version of one I can't remember)...
Brother Brothers would be the old 'cut your wrists and shake hands' thing, with the whole HIV risk... LOL
Time Sync would be my view on another form, Don't ask me the correct one I can't remember...
Time Sync is like the Idea of the Kiss...
When you Kiss a girl does you heart not skip and such, the idea is to sync your beats to become one and this is what Time sync idea is, without the kissing...
