New Negima!? might be canceled!

On Wikipedia, is says:

However despite the new look from the old series and manga this series has been getting a lot more flak from critics and fans alike than when the 1st series aired. Many complaints stem from the fact that most of the characters have been redesigned to look different than from the old anime series and the manga. Most of which center around Nodoka and her new hairdo that essentially looks almost totally different than from the manga and 1st anime. there has also been complaints about her so called "Cosplay Card" that gives her a pair of reading glasses. Also for the reason that Asuna no longer has her signature heterochromia (2 different colored eyes). Many people also are complaining about it because it has nothing to do with the original Manga story line what-so-ever. Many Professional critics have complained that despite that it's a retelling of the story, the story-line itself seems to be totally incoherent and just plain not well thought out. There have even been calls for it's cancellation altogether. And there are rumors that Akamatsu may just pull his license out of the series, effectively canceling the show.

If you like Negima!? like me, you don't want it to be cancelled, so someone make an online petition or something to stop the cancellation. I would do it, but I have no idea how to make an online petition. So if you make an online petition, post it on here and people can see the link to it. Thanks.

it's entirely doubtful that the series will be canceled. If you take a look at the Japanese site for show, and head over to the release section, you'll see that they have plans for 9 DVDs for next year, which translates to a full series. they even have serial numbers in place, which tells us that they are already sloted with the vendor who'll be printing them. even reserving such spots costs money, so its highly unlikely they'll be cancelling the series.

also, if you look in the Wikipedia page's discussion section, you'll see that that paragraph is currently being questioned and they even want a Mod to sort things out.

That WOULD suck if it did get cancelled. the first one was very entertaining.

I 've yet to see the new one "Negima!?" so I hope they don't

i wish they would just stick to the manga instead of branching out and doing their own thing. oh, well it can't really be helped. anyway i like the second series but i haven't been watching lately.

Jeez, why do people obsess with Nodoka's Hair style? So what if the anime made her hair longer at the back and shorter at the front (instead of keeping it the other way around as in the manga)? It still looks like her essentially. They might have rushed the pactios a little and I do miss the funny events that lead to those in the original manga but its not a huge sacrifice to get it up to pace with the current manga plot. The can afford to deviate a little from the manga early on just as long as they don't repeat it to the same degree closer to the current point of the manga plot. I'd hate to see a promising series suffer from overzealous inflexible fans.
