Hmm... well i think that the markings in her body somehow relates to the world tree, maybe those markings can make her acquire or borrow the world trees power? considering that she haven't used magic before the third day where the world tree's power is at its fullest.

I think those markings on her body are of her alien part. Since she is part alien, she must have some kind of kick ass power

hmm that would work though she said it herself that hundred years from that time that Mars would be a place where you can live in, i think it doesn't necessarily mean that Shes really an "alien" so we cant say that she's part alien i think. cause she simply i think moved from earth to mars.

Negi mentioned that the tatoo thing is a pure scientific implent and Cho has adimited that it's her ultimate creation within the two years she spent in mahora. It seem's to be some sort magic extractor or miltiplier...... in any case, it put a extreme amount of physical stress on her but grant her alot of magical powers in return.
