I think I'd prefer they went away from the manga a little, just to see something new

(could do without the little chibi monsters though, that was kind of lame)

well they have to begin with the weaker monsters! but I did like that nodoka was a little in the manga she dont show much of that

Chibi pests from academy = plot device to generate pactios = kamo's ermine dollars. It's a conspiracy! That aside, they're really putting effort in the chupacabra thing, no?
