Who the heck in negi mom? did negi get so caught up looking for his dad he forgot he had a mother.

This question, like many others, is unanswered for now. Speculate as much as you want, but if Ken Akamatsu-sama doesn't reveal it, we're all in the dark.

yea it's true but damn it's only sad to think what if any stories that will come up with about what may of happen to negi mom.

negi's mom is dead. remember when that old geezer in his village was tellin him his dad was good for nothing. i guess if you read between the lines you might realize that. also he told asuna that they both were orphans.

People have speculated a lot of weird-sounding things (for me, that is).

1. Nekane is Negi's mom

-age difference isn't reasonable
-you don't call your own mother onee-san/-chan

2. Asuna(?!) is Negi's mom

-age difference is another problem
-time travel theories are quite improbable to actually happen

EDIT: Negi may have been implying that his mom is dead, or his mom is missing... I believe it is probably the former.

well, people told negi that his father was dead but he didn't believe that. why doesn't negi look for his mom when people tell him that his mom died or something?

For all we know, he might have been there when she kicked the bucket... Then again, maybe not. He looks up to his father, so he chases Nagi. As for his mother, we know squat about it.

His father is actually missing and only supposed to be dead accorcing to the law. Nobody can verify he's dead. And his mother most probably died at home, surrounded by people. Because no mother would leave her child at such a young age.

it would be nice to see a picture of her mother though, probably looks like nekane. To bad del ray and wikipedia both say that nekane is negi's cousin though i don't know how that came up.

About the cousin thing it IS and old error a.k.a badly translated by Del Rey And About the current topic well I have always been interested in knowing who is or what happened to Negi's mom but as sad as it is we really dont know anything for sure.
The only time his mother was mentioned was in chapter 115 during his battle with Setsuna when Chao revealed part of Negi's past in the internet and the only thing that was told is that "it seem's like he doesnt have a mom either" So thats it Well for me she is dead and Negi must believe she is because otherwise he would be looking for her too.
