Thank you Talamare. Yeah, I know that this is a manga and it's fictional, but people did not provide a explanation on how luck plays a part in battle. They just said that it played without giving an example. Thanks again for the great example, and yeah I agree with it. On my part, I have to say that I was thinking in the instance of a one-on-one battle (mainly the tournament), so I overlook that part where they where multiple characters involve.

Isn't Takane more experience than Negi?

    At stripping?
    maybe at being a nudist

    Experience
    ha
thier playing too many RPGS lmao

    Experience plays a part
For example a fighter(like boxer) who been in hundreds of matches, but when this hugely massive guy comes along who used to be a pacifist and goes totally berserk and smashes the experienced boxers head in

Experience Id say plays about 30% roughly
So one more experienced could also still be weaker

he might end up overpowering everyone later, after all, he is the son of the thousand master, not to mention training under eva.........he will probably end up stronger than even the thousand master

He can't be stronger than his dad if all he does is train with Eva. Nagi's a lazy ass mofo who just happens to have a knack (sp?) for being a total badass.
Nagi > Eva. So Eva => Negi just means Nagi > Negi. The arrow means trains... just didn't wanna say it or type it or whatever.

Experience only helps when someone's analyzing the situation. Brute strength (or in this case magic points/ level/ power or whatever) plays a bigger role in deciding victors in combat.

i wish people would stop saying how negi is going to overpower everyone cuz that would be too much like dragon ball z. plus i don't think he will over power everyone cuz asuna has magic cancel and if she can be on par with negi's martial arts then she could put negi in his place.

All main Characters are always weak in the first then in the middle, they will realize that they have special powers and they are more powerful than anyone! That's the Golden Instincts of many authors! Heheh!

The greater strategist is usually the one who wins the battle. The abilty to analyse a situation and react accordingly is one of the most powerful tools that a general can have in any conflict.

Negi has proved that his strategy skills are on par with the greats, his fight against Takamichi in the tournament proved this. Improving his combat skills would make him more efficient and offer him more choices to his strategy. One of his main strengths and weaknesses is that he tends to overthink his strategy, and also the fact that he's ten years old means he distracted far too easily. This is why eva suggested that he would be more suited to a traditional mage role, standing at the rear of the group directing attacks and providing support.

And like I said, being ten is his greatest disadvantage. He lacks the real focus of a true warrior because he gets distracted too easily. Something that eva also rags on him for aswell.
Imagine if you will a garden with a beautiful blossom tree and a koi pond...

...Next imagine me drowning you in that very koi pond...

That is the power of feng shui...

Yes, Negi does have his fault. And he most probably will end up stronger than Nagi, since he is the main character. XP
