the answer is.... yes, but...
i'm totally lost for words. (not a bad anime yet it isn't as good either)

WTF?! Sounds a lot like .Hack//Legend of the Twilight... Completely different story line and they also excluded a very important character. I didn't expect such replies but then again such replies saved much time and now I don't have to DL it and watch it or watch it when it's released in the US (which is August 1st).

Well, the anime was graded with a C-minus at Japan Anime Magazine which I forgot the title. While the manga is graded with an A-minus. So, we can see the differences here. Btw, the second session is coming. I heard that the Character designer is going to be changed by Mr.I-don't-know-who-yet. and the story is going to start from the ending of the 1st session to chain it with the Mahora Festival and the Mahora Tournament. Its just rumour thou'
West meet East? Here's Mother and Son:
I really think tht the second season should start from the Kyoto trip, at least, that's where Kotarou comes out.. I dun mind animes tht din follow the manga closely, but at least bring out all the characters in the way the manga did.
I think they should just start over in general, the first series was a disaster and has no credit when it comes to the actual manga plot. Thus starting from anypoint in the anime series is just setting them up for failure.
