Thread: Latest (raw) chapters *spoiler*

What do you guys think will happen in these showdowns?

- setsuna+kaede vs the two teachers
- chisame+paru+nodoka vs cerberus and mage
- ku fei+konoka vs gryffin
- asuna+yue vs takamichi

for the first, it seems like all of them are experienced in combat so it'll be a pretty flashy fight. is it just me, or does the female teacher seem half-demon? i haven't read the translation for... chapter 140 i think it was.

the second group don't really have much firepower against a giant 3-headed dog; so it'd be interesting to see. nodoka's squished and chisame can't really do much, so it'd be up to paru. i wonder what's the limit of her artifact... can she create a dragon?

ku fei will probably easily win with her skills, especially with konoka as backup

takamichi will probably go easy on asuna; i can't see him trying anything crazy against these two.

Well as too the first match up Setsuna and Kaede, lost the first time, do they face off again, did I miss something in the raw 142 that showed that? As to the female teacher, she isn't a demon so much as a very, very frustrated woman.

As too Asuna and Yue vs Takamichi, I think it will be the o ther way around, Yue will be trying to encourage Asuna to attack at full power and she will hesitate because of her feelings for Takamachi. Something will happen and Asuna will see or think of Negi being threatened or Takamichi will say something to make her protective feelings for Negi build and sudden the sword will appear again (it is still only the harisen I think) and she will help win that one. It might also perhaps be the "last time" she truly wavers between Negi and Takamichi, and makes the "final choice" choosing Negi over Takamichi when she decides to fight him full out to help save and protect Negi. At least that is my guess for that battle, it will help Asuna put her "past" whatever it is with Takamichi behind her and move on to the new feelings she has for Negi.

I think the others are going to be a lot harder, of the others only Ku Fei truly has combat experience but Nodoka's book might help and Paru's "golems" might be a good way to distract Cerberus and the Mage.

Like said only Ku Fei has combat experience, so that will be an interesting fight, unless somehow Konoka's powers let her win the griffin over, sort of "pulling the thorn from it's paw" or something.

Also weren't there some shadow warriors and the "stripper mage" as she was called that Asuna thought she could fight? I thought that was to be her first match up in the raw of 142 or are you at the raw of a later chapter?

i was talking about chapter 142 raw, where asuna & co already took care of the shadow people. in any case, now that 143 raw is out, it looks like all but the se+kaede battle ended prematurely.

... that's fine by me though, yue is my fav character and she absolutely kicked @ss here.

Okay hadn't know that 142 raw was out, just saw up to 141....

From what i can tell based off the hints that have been given so far seems like after they finish rescuing Negi from the mages, Negi and crew are going to have to reach another powersource as abundant as the World Tree. Im thinking that since the tree only erradiates its power ever 22 years whos to say there isnt alot inside. So my hypothesis is that they will end up traveling to the mahora underground again via the library path and back to the door covered in the world tree roots (the dragon area). From there they will most likely travel to a place much closer to the world trees core where they could use the time machine again.

Keep in mind this is just speculation and could be entirely wrong.

it's a pretty good guess. the story is either going to branch out one of two ways:

1) they're stuck in the future and going to have to deal with it.
2) they get back in time somehow

2 is more likely, considering there's a *lot* that was supposed to happen on the 3rd day - his students' activities, asuna's past revealed, info on Nagi, and obviously, fight with Chao.

since that's the case, they need a bigger power source than the one they had during the festival, since his cassieopa can only do a day return. that getting closer to the tree idea seems fairly good.

i'm thinking yue's artifact might be able to help them out - researching large power sources

Well the thing is in the chapter where they fight Takane again while Chizuru access that site for Kamo he says something about that being what he expected and having enough power to send them back. However he does mention that they have about 6 (think thats the number) hours to get there in. Kinda leads you to believe the power is still kinda draining out and they can tap into it still. Ill link the page with my evidence when i have a chance tomorrow.

I wonder since before all the time travel stuff negi did already happened why is the future still like this??

chao changed the past creating a different future. now negi and company is going back to the past to change the alternate future.

can they skip 22 years into the future and use the power again?
