Thread: Chao and Negi's father?

Could it be that Chao mentioned Negi's past (how Negi met his father 6 years ago), because she wants to change/preserve it? Could it be that's the reason she leaked information during the mahora tournament? To warm the world up for the exposure of magic (by Negi)?

Maybe (it's just speculation, but that turned out to be quite accurate lately) Negi did not meet his father 6 years ago. We know that Negi can have (a somewhat) adult body thanks to Kamo's pills. Chao might just want to send Negi back to the event 6 years ago and have him act like he was his father. It's a very important event for Negi (it's the one that made him decide to become a Magister Magi) and if it did not accur, then maybe the world from a 100 years from now would be in trouble. because Negi would not strife to be a Magister Magi. Maybe the world will know of magic thanks to Negi. I mean, like half of his class already knows about him and magic, so why not?

It could be that Negi will pass such information down his bloodline to make sure Chao would go back in time. (And maybe the colonies on Mars will be possible thanks to hybrid science-magic, like Chachamaru)

Unlike the others that is a very well thought out theory. Some storyline segments even support it (Partially) however i dont think thats going to be the course of action taken for the series. Then again im not the writer so this is pretty much just my opinion.

or negi become evil in the future and destroy earth and that is why chao wanna change negi bad memories.

*GASP* OMG!!! thats incredible!!! now that I think about it, 6 years ago the book doesnt show nagi's face. maybe it could be negi whos gone back in time.

Wow..until now, this is the most well thinked theory i have read in this sub-forum, it really could be possible that what is doing Chao about expossing the magic could be better for the future for her, maybe somthing happened in the tiem where she is. About that Negi took the growing pills could be true to, well, as you said, we just have to wait what is really Akamatsu planning to do.

hi its me again. i have just finished reading chpt. 135 of negima and...wow. chao tells us that she's from the future, that she's negi's descendant, and she also suggests that, with the power of the world tree, negi should think about "changing an unfortunate past?" I am now convinced that "Y-Yorle?'s" theory could be real. even if chao was lying that part about her coming from the future, there is still the power of the world tree. i mean technically the world tree becomes a giant battery of magical energy every 22 yrs, and said energy could be used to increase the power of the time pendant, therefore, allowing negi to alter or preserve his past. ARGH!!! my head hurts just thinking about it.

Well, there are flaws in that theory, and I'm disappointed that everyone jumped on it so readily, goes to show how much people think.

First of all, when Nagi came to Negi's rescue 6 years ago, the demons recognized "him" and his power.

Secondly what proof do you have that Negi can at any time be as cocky as Nagi, none! Also remember how he crushed that demon he held up in one hand, you think Negi is like that ? So no match personality-wise, plus he'd recognize himself and his Oneechan lying on the ground, on top of that, I don't remember Negi being skilled in stopping petrification.

Also there is a limit to how old you can be by using the aging pills, which was explained during Negi and Asuna's "date-project", and the Nagi that showed up 6 years ago is older than Takamichi (which should be 30ish).

One look at this theory and I immediately recognise this to be a doppleganger of what happened in the 3rd Harry Potter book. So much for the appraisals for our 'writer', this idea isnt even original.
