Thread: Who else thinks Negi swings the other way?

I don't think that Negi x Kotarou couple can exist, if there some homosexual couple in Negima it has too be Konoka with Setsuna. But even this match is not very possible.

... probably not. negi is more close to asuna/nodoka than kotarou. it'd take a series of super freakish accidents to make that happen.

konoka and setsuna seems pretty canon so far; it's probably going to happen.

Negi and Kotarou would be a cute couple indeed.... but I just don't see it. I mean, it's pretty clear he likes girls (and Kotarou too, for that matter. I think).

Older, though... well... the fans can dream.

I honestly couldn't see it. Negi doesn't seem to have any 'homosexual tendencies' to me, and he does strike me as the type who like girls, but, you must keep his age in mind. Though mature for his age, he still, at times, think like a typical ten-year-old boy and not ready for girlfriends and stuff yet. Very understandble. Oh, and for his profile, one of Negi's "likes" are "older girls", so I think that pretty much says it all. That aside, I'm sure it'll make a good fanon pairing, Negi x Kotarou (I do find it a bit cute...but not a fan of it since I like the two better as friends, which is good for Negi since he rarely has anyone around his own age range).

As for Setsuna and Konoka (since it was mentioned), this is another pairing I couldn't really see happening in canon since, to me, it's much too one-sided. Konoka doesn't strike me as "liking Setsuna" in that way.

I still think it's pretty wrong that Negi is ten years old.
And we're talking about his romantic tendencies.

Well there's nothing wrong with romantic tendencies at the age of ten. However, I do have a problem with sexual tendencies at the age of ten...

Well the series kinda focuses on it, so it's not too "out there", ya know? Even he himself thinks about it, to a certain extent.

I honestly do feel that Negi is destined to hook up with one of those girls of his class (minus Chao of course), just not at his current age and sometime down the road when he's much older since he is still just a ten-year-old kid.

The fact that Negi gets a descendant is at least a relief that Negi will not swing that way. Dressing Negi as a fox girl really did give some people strange ideas.
