He was saying that Yue aspires to become a magician and still made a contract with Negi, same with Konoka if you think about it. I dont think the contract effects their own magic, kinda like when Negi does the contract with himself. He can still use magic but he has a magical barrier protecting and strengthening him.
Damn you guys love assume and jump to conclusions.
What I meant was that those who aspire to become magicians might not all be interested in making a pactio with Negi. I didn't say anything about his magic being effected or not. sheeesh.
Ya i understand what you mean, I was just saying that cuz it would be kind of pointless for a mage to recieve help from another mage considering they could do the exact same spells to themselves. But then again cant argue with the free artifact right?
Not exactly. Mages have different strengths - Konoka's is healing, for example - so it would make more sense strategically to have her help others with healing. I'm not sure why they'd need a pactio - maybe just because they're kids and it's the fad =P - but mages should DEFINITELY help one another, and there could possibly be other effects from the pact that we don't really know about yet.Originally Posted by Fuscion420

well, the known effects are, the usage as a cell phone (without the bill mind youand they can use the cards to summon each other, but I we've only seen Negi use it, so maybe it only works one way. And then there is the power-up mode, where the wizard can activate the card, also when you've a pactio you are "protected" by a barrier of a sort, e.g. how Negi could fight such vicious battles and still live to tell the tale.
Yup.Originally Posted by Saithan
Aslo i just want to note i didnt mean that they shouldnt use the contract to help each other i was just stating that when a contract is made it often (in the case with negi students i.e. nadoka or Yue) empowers those with no abnormal abilities. So in theory another mage wouldnt necessarily need to be infused with powers from another source, considering they could do it themselves in the first place. However you are right and their speciliaztion is key for determining the need for a contract. For example; someone like Konoka doesnt really need Negi's power to do magic, but with his protection she would become far more useful (I.E. her 'healing' fans).

thx saithan
Don't anyone else think that the pact with Yue was pointless? It gave her a broom for crying out loud. Now, aside from the obvious joke of 'sweeping' the enemy I just can't fanthom what sort of ability she could use as a mage support. She is a philosopher, wouldn't that make her a tactician? At least the artifact should seem to relate to that of a tactician implement otherwise it just looks like stereotypical cosplay. Nothing else comes to mind about any useful abilities that could be related to her personality. Can anyone else think of anything?
"You are a 100 years too early to argue logically with ME......"
Maybe we should wait and see what's that broom can do.
she may have some unique abilities with it.
