Hey, anyone reading or watching Kekkaishi out there?

My favorite char is Gen.

I do; watched it, loved it and started reading it.

Still consider it one of my favorite anime/mangas. Not sure why, but it just catches my attention completely, from artwork, story and characters. TO me, everything is really good, and it keeps getting better.

If it had to do with a character, my favorite would be Yoshimori. His character from easily annoyed to extremely serious and determined suits him very well.

so far its stor line is alot better than naruto....alot less forced

Why do you say its "dope"? Because it has a straight plot?

Curiously, I only just started reading this and liking it a lot. I bounced off the opening chapters a few years ago, but this time once I finished the first volume I was hooked. One of the better shounen magic-with-powerups series out there -- Yoshimori's motivation for doing what he does is much better supported than typical and Tokine's one the better-characterized female co-leads out there.

I noted it right away. I aslo agree that Tokine is better supported then most female co-leads, but probably because she serves as three things to Yoshimori (a rival, a freind, and a love intrest). So who knows where there relationship will go?

It's pretty clearly signalled that together they will end the rivalry between their families by joining them.

Yet at the same time (you can see it in the flash backs) their respecteve gandparents were also poised to to do the same thing. I don't know if it will continue or not (I can see it going either way) but I do think that is where it is heading. Reminds me of a version of Romeo and Juliet that I read where the parents pretended to hate each other to get the kids to marry, while they were actually best freinds.

True, about the grandparents. Though grandpa's pride seems to have been a lot stiffer than Yoshimori's.
