then why didn't they marry each other if they didn't hate each other? The old guy (Shigemori) obviously likes her in the flash back. There might be more information that hasn't been shown yet. Anyway I'm rooting for Kanda to end up with Yoshimori.

Err... I think it's the other way around. I think they hate each other because they didn't get married heheh... but that's just me.

Life is life. Something tells me that thoes two got into some sort of arguement that ended up with neither of them allowing themselves to forgive the other. The rift allowed them to marry other people, and end of story. However they can also see a clear line with both Yoshimori and Tokine so they are "secretly" supporting both of them. Well that's what I think anyway.

I read the first 12 volumes of Kekkaishi. Heisuke was an awesome character, I liked the flower demon, and a certain funeral scene made me teary eyed.

I think it's as popular as it deserves to be, really.

sadly, as with most ink-and-paper-to-cellulite adaptations, the anime does not live up to the manga. this is strictly my opinion. the design is sporadic from episode to episode, and some important plot points are omitted to make room for some rather irrelevant filler fluff. i prefer the manga much more. tanabe-sensei is straightforward and down to earth in her plotlines with good, clean imagery and "3-D" characters.
i apologize to anyone i may have offended. m(_ _)m i'm not usually this serious and critical, but i really like this one!

i think there is more to that... i mean what would happen if two houin owner join together in blood. would it cancel each other ??? or would something worse happen....
anyway if yosimori did manage to destroy karasumori may be that wont bother anymore.

o yeah i think this manga rocks... it somehow a lot better than the anime..

I've seen this in several comments and wonder if you are reading the manga in Japanese or scanalations? My understanding is that he wants to seal it, similar to the way he seals the portal in chapter 205, but certainly on a much grander scale.

@Kanzan destroy, seal, destroy, seal,...... isn't it supose to be the same?? yes it is said "seal" in the manga but if you see the chapter where there is a premonition about karasumori (i forget what chapter... y'know the one with all the butterfly), it look like he was destroying it with that huge white zekkai wouldn't you think?

No, I don't think the results of the sealing that Yoshimori wants to perform is the destruction of the power base of Karasumori, but the cutting off of its power emanation into the mortal realm. As long as Karasumori acts as a point of evolution to ayakashi, it remains troublesome. If he closes the pocket world so that it no longer interpenetrates the school grounds, he and the other protectors can presumably, (from his immature viewpoint,) assume "normal" lives.
I can't imagine that the author is going to let it be that straight forward and predictable though, at least, I hope not. I'm enjoying it too much to want a lame ending like that; little Tokines and Yoshimoris running around underfoot at the united families compound. Bleh!
