Thread: Some things I observed...

Since there aren´t that many threads in this section I just decided to open a new one xD

I was wondering since chapter one - isn´t it awkward that Kagome isn´t startled just a little bit by dead people and such?I think that´s funny...(okay in time she could have got accommodated,but even the people in Gantz are a bit more sensible ).A theory would be she isn´t afraid or so because she is the reincarnation of Kikyou...

And something else: is it just in the translation on onemanga,or does InuYasha call Kagome bitch sometimes (quite often actually in the first chapters) and she doesn´t mind it?She even said she wants to stay beside him...and then : "you bitch" XDD

I observed that after a long excruciating time, this series is really horrid. Wish the mangka had some guts to kill it. End its misery!!!!!!!!

It was so good in the beginning, now its rotten to the core.

Like demons and stuff? She was pretty surprised at first, but I guess once you know they're real and you're fighting for your life...

I think it's the translation. He probably calls her by some generic rude term... and she ignores it because he's generally a rude person and speaks like that, and he doesn't really mean it. ^_^

Aside from the demons,there were tons of human bodies.Of course every mangaka can do what he wants,but even the Veterans in Gantz do care a little when they see dead bodies around....lol

^ that can be possible.But it is funny to see how he calls her Bitch and she doesn´t react xD

There weren't many dead people at first. I think it probably helps that:

a) Very few humans Kagome talked to died.
b) This wasn't her time. I think it'd be easier to distance yourself if these were humans living such a different life that it almost doesn't feel "real" to you.
c) Most of all, no one else reacted badly. Her travelling companions, and even villagers, are used to experiencing death. If no one else is freaking out, it's harder to do so yourself.

I guess the last reason would be why this is different from Gantz. EVERYONE there was a normal human who would be weirded out around dead bodies, and if you weren't, you'd be labelled as a freak (or seen as one). In Inuyasha, everyone is so used to seeing them that one would eventually get accustomed to that atmosphere.

Well yeah,that has to be it.And I also think the mangaka didn´t have in mind to waste pages with her fear of dead bodies xD

And there´s something else too : after chapter 500 or so the translators always translate what it´s written at the end of the manga (at least in the scans on OneManga).
And there it always says "next time a NEW DEVELOPMENT" - everytime I see that I must lol as hell...

Yeah, what a surprise, huh? ^^;; "Next time: Inuyasha gets YET ANOTHER PHALLIC POWER-UP!!!"

After Ranma, I'm just glad that there is an real ending this time.
I hate it when the manga ends with an open end (like Togari, which I read yesterday). Maybe that's because I'm from the west, but I'm a happy end kinda guy.
Defeating the baddie but dying himself (like in shin angyo onshi) may be a win because he fulfilled his mission, but that's not realkly a happy end to me.

But hey, that's just me. I even hoped for more of a happy end in Chrno crusade and there it was a girl with a shortened life span and a demon.

I think Inuyasha had a good run. I always enjoyed reading it. It may have been a little bit repetitive but I can easily overlook that and still enjoy the manga the way it is.

Yeah Kagome isn't normally fazed by all the dead people which is kinda odd. But the whole thing with Inuyasha calling Kagome a bitch, in Japanese is may not directly translate into the word bitch. It may be something different. And she probably isn't annoyed by it because of her maturity. I know that if someone as annoying as Inuyasha can be sometimes called someone like me a bitch I wouldn't care as much. Because thats just how he is.
So it may not faze Kagome while it would annoy someone else.
The dead people though. Thats just a lack on attempt in the writing style, which leaves a lot to be desired.
