    who would choose? anime is wonderful all around, but with series where there are holes or you just have to have more, manga comes to the rescue...

    Its hard to choose between the anime and manga...
    I think the characters look better in the anime and its much more exciting with sound effects,color, music and what not.
    Im dissapointed with the anime though because the "Mori when hes tired" scene wasnt in there and i think that was one of the funniest parts in the manga.
    Also the relationship between Kyoya and Haruhi in the episode where Kyoya woke up at the commoner expedition wasnt as deep as in the manga. In the manga Kyoya told the lady that the bowl was fake because he was mad at the salesmen for being mean to Haruhi. In the anime he helped the lady because he was just being nice. I didnt like how the anime changed that. Also, the manga included the part at the school festival thingy where they had to get that crown in a wierd race and Tamaki ended up getting the crown and Kyoya saved Haruhi.
    However, I think the anime made Haruhi's relationship with Hikaru stronger then the manga did. Episode 16 where Haruhi went on a date with Hikaru was much more drawn out and you could really tell that Hikaru had a crush on Haruhi. In the manga it wasnt so evident.
    I really liked how in the anime Kyoya ended up buying his dad's company and then gave it back to him ^_^ that was totally awesome.
    So yah i really dont know which is better. They are both good

    i actually watch the anime first before reading the manga. The anime is really funny! I laugh a lot especially in the twin's 'fight' episode. The anime is what leads me to read the manga in the first place. I think the art in the anime is nicer than the manga's coz it's more clean-cut. There is too much lines in the drawings until you sometimes aren't too sure what it is. I can't vote now since i haven't read all the manga chapters yet, but i think i will still like manga more than the anime even though the art is not perfect. Nekozawa's and tamaki's father's role are actually more expanded in the manga. The anime didn't even show mori's brother, satoshi. I really like how in the manga, satoshi seems to be the only one that can control yasuchika. Plus, tamaki's dad seem to be more caring towards tamaki in the manga. Another thing i notice in the anime is that in one episode where the host club went to the beach. They stay in kyouya's resort instead of nekozawa's like in the manga, so there's sort of a question mark when tamaki asked kyouya to accompany him to his rooms. Actually, the reasoning for this is clear in the manga as tamaki did not want to be left alone with nekozawa's servant accompanying him to his room.

    I've read the manga and am still reading it and I've watched the whole anime and although I like the manga very much I prefer the anime because I actually think the drawings look better than in the manga. But I don't like how the anime already ended =/

    I would rather say half anime and half manga. Why? Well, manga has alot of stuff that ain't shown in anime plus it has more scenes than the anime. for instance, Air Gear and Negima. But anime is somehow cool for instance, there are times that anime comes out first before the manga and you can't wait to watch it all about it. Plus there are anime that has no manga version of it... strange but inevitable. Anime also has something extra that manga doesn't. If you aren't a kind of person who can imagine how the action is like then anime is your answer plus it has some cool background music that matches the scenes.

    Hmmm... I think around the end of the 5th book of Air Gear... if you're regarding to that anime. After the Behemoth's battle.

    I think you've gotten lost in the wrong section. ^^;

    I think that the anime took a slightly different course, as well as there being scenes in each that are not in the other. My suggestion is just to start from the beginning of the manga - it's not that long, and you'd be missing out on some good scenes. ^^

    The anime wrestled the whack chronology into something resembling coherence, with it all happening in seasonal order in one year instead of several years repeating the same grade. Parts of most chapters through 37 were used -- everything after that is "after" the anime, but there's a couple in the middle that were skipped. (For details, Wiki's got you covered.)
    Today is always the most enjoyable day. Just ask Yotsuba.
