Thread: Anime or Manga

The anime had more laugh out loud moments than the manga, and its what got me into the manga in the first place. But I think over all the manga is better than the anime.
And it has less annoying Renge moments on big spinning thing!

you don't like Renge's high powered engine? >_<
Its better compared to the monkey. (I don't even understand whats it doing there @_@)

oftentimes i would like an anime cause you could have the characters materialize and it's nice to watch them in action with their funny antics. but i'd still choose the manga over the anime. in ouran's case, i like the manga more since it has the original plot, it's just as funny anyway, and it's still on-going. a lot of anime deviates from the manga cause a series needs to be compressed in 26 or 52 episodes and they would have to find a way to end it.

I like both of them, Its funny to see their reactions in the anime, but I don't like how the anime gets away from the manga, though I did like the ending... But I love both

i will have to say that I lean towards the anime... although they are both absolutely fantastic~

I read the manga first and then started watching the anime. With most manga/animes, I prefer the manga because I feel that there is a better plot usually.
but i think i prefer the anime for this show. To see the Ouran characters in colour and motion is awesome!

I voted for the anime. Mostly because the seiyu's are AWESOME, especially Tamaki's. And somehow, I like the art a little better in the anime... plus the obvious added bonus of everything in colour and motion. I kind of liked the ending of the anime because, although it was a bit anti-climatic in terms of the Tamaki-Haruhi relationship, it was still really nice, and left you with a warm, fuzzy feeling |D You kind of know that the Club will always (figuratively) be together.

anime contains more varieties and in this series, it's clearly that the anime has better edge than the manga. In term of seiyu, perfect! In term if character design, nice. In term of storyline, owning !

i 'm going for the anime because it's so nice and i hope for remake more than any other anime.

I generaly like the mangas alot more than the animes , but i have to say that they did a good job with the Host anime so i choose both case their so damm funny!

I like them both. I watched the first 2 or 3 episodes before I got around to reading the manga.

The anime has beautiful art, and lots of color! I love the voices, especially Moris'! (I've been watching some Deathnote anime, and it's just wierd hearing Tamaki as Light!) Like others have said before, it's nice to see the characters in color and motion. I also like how they never did pair Haruhi off with anyone in the end, even though they did seem to support Haru/Tama. Also, the last 6 episodes gave me a taste of what's to come in the chapters I haven't read in the manga yet. (well not 25 and 26 'cause they were original storylines for the anime). Renge pisses me off though. I love her in the manga. She's not around as much! Heh! I'm excited that it got licensed in English!

The manga also has great art, and the stories/episodes are more indepth and have better overall development and pacing. Also, the anime cut some of my favorite parts, like the American Football Club. And Tamakis' father is better in the manga. I love how Hatori-sensei won't let Mori and Mitsukuni graduate. I also love all the little extras in the manga, like Love Egoist.

i haven't read the manga...but the anime ROCKS...
u know u guys have convinced me to read the manga even though i wasn't planning to...a lot seem to think it's better than the anime...dunno..i thought the anime was TERRIFIC!!!!!!!!!!1
