Thread: Petition for the second anime!

Well, officially there's no Season 2 in the making.

to try and get a second season going.

I honestly have .00001% faith that the petition will work, but it can't hurt to sign it, right? XD

Where's an anti-petition? I hated the anime - I watched fourteen episodes and it gradually got worse, in my opinion. It deviated from the manga after following it closely, and there were just some episodes I couldn't stand. The worst had to be the Alice in Wonderland one - the manga chapter was genius (and, I'll admit, Hatori-sensei on drugs), but the anime was just... not that interesting. Between changing some important scenes in the beach one and CUTTING OUT NEKOZAWA and the last episodes, of which I read a summary of... no, I just couldn't take it. I've seen some good anime for my favourite manga, but most of the time it just doesn't work.

...Okay, I'm picky. Ouran isn't as bad as D.Gray-Man, but it still could have been much better. The music was decent, but... I really worry that people will get into Ouran because of the anime, not the manga, and will reference the anime in discussions. It doesn't work. The manga is the canon plot and if the anime contradicts it, the anime is wrong. That's really why I hate the anime... >_>

Aww. I didn't think the anime was that bad. One of the things that annoyed me was the fact that Renge was completely blown out of proportion. >.< I got really pissed off when she kept showing up.

I'd watch a second season if it came out even if the manga was better. ^.^

I would watch a second season, even if the first lost a bit of storyline...but I really would love to know whether Tamaki or Kyouya will get her...or maybe Hikaru?

Even if there won't be a 2nd season...it would be fine...I'd read the Manga^^

I have to admit I came to Ouran anime first but then I now love the manga more. The Alice in Wonderland being the best example as said by DE, the manga did it better and the anime made it worse.

There was at least a sense of some closure from the end of season 1 and it had some sort of finale. Plus the one good thing from the anime was the sense of time. There wasn't any jumping from christmas to halloween in the space of a few volumes. I'd like to see a second season but I think it might be a bit hard considering how the anime ended.

I would like a second season as I really quiet enjoyed the first. It made me laugh It wasn't perfect but I liked it indeed.
But I don't think this petition will have an affect really. They tied it up neatly at the end and more could ruin. Maybe, I don't know. At least the end more more satisfying than Fruits basket. That was a little annoying...

ok..I have to admit that I like the anime (it make me laugh) before read the manga.. but after I watched the ending I began to read it and I love the manga now.
I just think that it was a hurried ending (for my point of view). . . I hope for the second season to see a good ending .

I agree. everything was settled at the last episode in Ouran anime.
making a second season will be stretching it and I hate it when an anime is strecthed for the sake of stretching it. like fillers, stretch scenes (I'm looking at you DBZ!) etc.

I like the anime of Ouran, yes the story completely moved away from manga but the director has to change some few things because of the time line. Cutting Nekozawa scenes annoyed me but all in all. I enjoyed it ^^

I've never read the manga, so my opinion are only limited to the anime version, I happen to frequent anime-source searching the review section for some high rated anime, using that method I found out about Ouran (gosh 9.0+ rating) so I quicky downloaded it. The anime is pretty good (the animation and stuff), funny, and quite a good plot. So I watch and watch it until I reach about halfway (ep.12), when I ask myself "wait a minute, this anime is becoming suspicious, kinda like it has no definite plot just random stories put together to make 1 season anime series." It's boring, really, specially when the punchline is almost the same as the other eps. Anyways I continue to watch it till end so as not to waste the hours I spent downloading it...My younger siblings like it thought.

Special thanks to anime-source for their great anime review database, because of those reviews that I happen to watch Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Shakugan no Shana, Elfen Lied, etc. great animes.

oooo! that wouldn't be a bad idea. i liked the anime (but now i like the manga more XD). it was just that renge got so annoying! she was way over.... um.... being over dramatic! but still i wouldn't mind a second season. i wasn't too picky on it following the story line because they still managed to make it funny and stuff.
