Thread: Timed / Logged out automatically

Hello oh great and mighty StopTazmo crew.

Just a quick question. Recently I've noticed that, after logging in, I get automatically logged out if I wait more than a few minutes between downloads. Whether it's answering the phone or taking an emergency potty break (Never should've eaten last nights sushi that was left out) when I try the next download I get a message that tells me I "...need to be a registered member in order to download..." It only takes a few minutes to re-log in but it can get a bit frustrating on those busy days (I'm a very busy leecher). I am allowing cookies. I mean it allows me to download uninterupted as long as I don't wait more than a few minutes between clicks. I checked FAQ and didn't see anything related to this so I'm starting to think maybe there's a setting I missed somewhere.

Your wizdom and guidance, as always, is appreciated.

Id assume staying on the downloads page constitutes inactivity by the forum software and it logs you out. The simple solution should be just check the [Remember Me] box next to the Login button and go about your day.

The remember me box is not on the default log in page. Change to a different skint tick the box and log in.

... for such a simple mind as mine. Thank you StealDragon and thank you 98abaile for those words of wisdom. I can easily implement that tactic and enjoy hoping between downloads and the forums without fear of being logged out. I shall now go and do as suggested, even though I do like the default skin.

Now, which skin should I choose? Too many darn choices! But I better hurry lest I be tossed in the gutter once again by the infernal forum software timing ... thingie.

There are special extra features available if you use the Webspeak skin. I would log in on Default and set [_] Remember Me then switch to Webspeak.

Like what?

Groups, Friends/Contacts, Profile Commenting, etc.

They're on the default skin as well.
