Premium Membership Payment Confusion

I'm a Premium Member (in theory!) with a recurring $5 payment each month. This is set up with Paypal. My last payment was on 6 March. The next payment is set to go out on 5 April. I've checked this in my Paypal account.

I've received an automated e-mail on 4 March from the Stoptazmo.com webmaster saying:

Your access to the paid subscription "Premium Membership" is about to expire.

If you have selected a recurring subscription you will be automatically billed for the renewal, else to renew this subscription you must visit the payments page.

If you do not extend your subscription, access will be removed.


Am I misunderstanding some detail here? :confused: If I go to the payments.php page, I'll be paying twice, because I already have a recurring payment set up in Paypal.

I'd be grateful if an admin could look into this for me, please, and if possible, restore my premium member status.

This should really have been posted in our premium members support area. You do not have anything to worry about though.

All this email is saying is if you have an active subscription, you will be rebilled and if you do not, you will not be billed and access will be removed. It's just an email that is sent out reminding you. As long as you did not cancel your subscription, payment will be sent to us by Paypal automatically. There is no reason to send or signup for premium membership again.

Thanks for the info, Kevin. I should have been slightly clearer: I would have posted this in the Premium Members support area, but I am unable to do so because I am no longer recognised by the website/system as a Premium Member, so I can't see the Premium Member Forum section.

So while I have a recurring payment set up in Paypal (last paid on 6 March, next payment going out 5 April,) the website appears to have automatically removed my Premium Member status on 6 March.

Do you have your Paypal transaction ID so I can see what happened?

I just spoke with Mark over the phone and this is very strange. You should still be a premium member, but we are going to report this issue to Vbulletin.

What we have done though is cancel your active subscription, we just sent you a refund for this month and we will need to have you signup again.

I'm sorry about all of this but this is one of the few things we really have control over. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and I hope to see you again as a premium member shortly.
