    Default Download Manager Restrictions Broken?

Before I disabled it I was able to connect with 5 download threads at once, no issues.

I've disabled it, I hate hogging bandwidth, but shouldn't in not be working?

Edit: I just realized I probably should have PM'd a mod about this rather than an open post, delete it if need be!

You are lucky you did not get flagged by our scripts and blocked. You won't be able to resume your download though for sure.

Changes are being made this weekend to our download scripts that should prevent people like you from abusing our servers.

Are you sure? It downloaded 4 files before I disabled it.

Nice personal attack by the way :P

    I'm just trying to help.

I meant no such attack. But we do have scripts that blocks those who have the most connections open every 5 minutes, and things will be tweaked this weekend.

If you search google, you can find a lot of people leeching our files which we are working on preventing better.

When people leech it hurts everyone else and the server and that is the point I was trying to make, so I hope you understand I meant you no harm.

    Thank you for your help.

I've been here awhile, so I'm happy to help.

Any consideration on limiting concurrent connections, to say... 2?

I use one connection, which looks to be limited to 100KB/s. But it looks like that is applied per connection, so someone using 2-3 connections concurrently would be using up 2-3x more bandwidth.

Yes, the limit will be dropped to 2 for sure. For free users, yes the connection is limited to ~100KB/s, it's what we applied at the moment to prevent abuse but come this weekend and we will have more things in place to help with abuse.
