The might be a version 5 with this information:P

Originially the producers of the anime Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, said SHY would be a rerun... well how can a rerun be 28 episodes long when the original series was 14 episodes???

I guess the new season would be more appropriately place in the summer 14 weeks from now.

I watched k-on one. And I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep watching k-on.

+1 K-on fanclub. Whoo! Manabi Straight, Lucky Star, and ENOZ band all rolled into one.

And from reports in the blogosphere so far, Queen's Blade has gone past terrible into the realms of indescribable disgust. Meanwhile, Cross Game's anime is the dark horse of the season, surprising everyone who watched it into following it. (They went through most of Volume 1 in the first episode! Especially the ending! For those of you who read the manga, you know what that means... and it's even better in the anime, with a perfectly-matched song accompaniment.) The other fantasy/game/sci-fi series so far generally have some potential, but nothing really standing out yet. According to the bloggers, at least.

Wait, the entire volume one crammed into one episode? I see why they'd want to try (I'd been wondering about the pacing) but ... how?
Today is always the most enjoyable day. Just ask Yotsuba.

It's hard to believe, but yes, the first volume in one episode and it was done great. Really, I was surprised at how beautiful Cross Game looked. The baseball scenes weren't anything spectacular, but the backgrounds, pacing and music was. It had a good flow and ended with perfection. If this was a series of short stories than it would all be wonderful, I'm just wondering how the rest of the story will be characterized...

K-ON! was cozy and enjoyable, but nothing spectacular. It has potential, yes, but I won't bet anything on it at this stage.

The first episode of Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood was an anime original of mediocre quality. They probably did it to be able to introduce most of the iconic characters in the beginning. The OP and ED however were awesome and they'll begin the Flashback next episode so I look forward to it.

Those are my thoughts as yet of the new season.

    EDIT

Watched Saki, neither above nor below my expectations. If you like mahjong try it, if you don't then I can't see any reason to.

The answer to how they crammed it all in is ... they didn't. They left out the game where Koh and Aoba pitch head-to-head, and a crucial conversation between Aoba and Wakaba.

Anyway, Cross Game looks to be the only series I'll be following this season. (Maybe when it's done and I need a random dose of moe I'll go back to K-On!.)

I take that back: the opening episode of Eden of the East rocks serious ass. And not just because it gets Washington, DC more accurately than American movies -- with real English from native speakers and Engrish from the Japanese characters. I'm following that one for at least a couple episodes, but it's hard to see it falling apart until the conclusion, being only 11 episodes.

I just watched ep 1&2 of K-on. Better then i expected.
Obviously not as good as Beck, but still pretty good.

Very nice animation, music is meh so far. Especially the background music.
I like the ending song though.

Only annoying element is the fact that it's about damn schoolgirls, and that it's about pop rock.

btw, I liked how Yui's guitar had Fender logo in the store, and later after buying it's clearly Gibson logo.

I was also quite surprised expecting some chliché shoujo, getting not quite that, but rather something I wanted. I'm just wondering if they can keep up the spontanious feel that made the first episode seeworthy.
