Yes, if they make sense they can improve the series
No, never seen a necessary timeshift in any series, they just get on my nerves
They donīt have any influence on the quality of a series
And last for fucking ages.
Well youīre right, but we have an extra in flashbacks (in OP):
People actually DIE xD
But it wasn't really flashbacks, more like they tell each character's story at a different times, and the just sort of intersect at points, and continue on with more clues and hints to the entire story. Man that was an adventure. Love the ending, where the 2 silly characters realize what they are.. lol i don't want to spoil it.
the authors surely have enough stuff left to produce a seond season. the light novels containt many more stories. (not only a complete story for 2001)
But sadly baccano didnt get much attention in japan. i don't know why but the viewer ratings were quite bad. (maybe some fanservice series was aired at the same time -.-)
well Hope dies last.
i wish to see more of this unique and eccentric bandit couple "stealing a museum door"
My new signature to celebrate my 1000th post!!! (My waifu Yuno)
What about the flashbacks in Cowboy Bebop? Or the Rurouni Kenshin OVAs?
Generally-speaking, I would think any anime featuring a Character With A Mysterious Past would benefit from flashbacks, provided they are executed correctly. Starting the narrative in media res is almost a standard film technique nowadays.
Manga Genre Focus: Romance, Comedy, Slice-of-life. Primarily shounen, then seinen and shoujo.
Spam stock is up, you say? That we should buy now?
Sorry. No dice.
Today is always the most enjoyable day. Just ask Yotsuba.
the flashback in Kimagure Orange Road is good...wel its more of a timeslip but whatever
