Default Anime or Manga you've bought in the past month or under?

This is my first time venturing outside of the Berserk section which is mostly what I joined for (outside of the downloads), so please forgive/link me if there's already a thread on this that has had recent replies.

Well, considering that both mediums of entertainment are essentially works of television and books that are intended for little more than our enjoyment at the cost of the price (lest you scan/download/borrow), so how many of you have liked a title enough to actually go out and get them rather than the usual torrenting?

Anime-wise, I haven't bought any English-language dvd's as I live way far out in the east, and the only thing capable of reading those here (regions, I know they suck.) is my laptop which is a fried piece of junk-crap that just came back fromthe screen fixer guy when I literally punched the hell out of it from when it froze for the upteenth time from me downloading a little Rahxephon, which sadly was in its dubbed glory (or lack thereof). So I'm not able to watch them, and my drive is full anyway- can't if I wanted to. It at least doesn't freeze as often as it used to, but it's still slow as hell, and it pisses me the hell off that I can't watch anything I brought over here.

So as for manga, I'm a lazy bumpkin, but I did get the latest release of Eden: It's an Endless World! by Endo, which here is volume 18, and the Japanese ones should be at the same range in terms of book releases outside of the magazine, considering that the long-as-hell drab author comments puts it at June this year. Haven't bought anything else worthy of reckoning, since everything around these days pretty much sucks, as they don't sell epic seinen manga to anyone under 19. T_T

"Past week" makes it a little hard... should have said "recently".

Three weeks ago, I bought the first volumes of AQUA and ARIA manga. Was waiting for new stock to come in so that I could buy the second volumes, but they didn't arrive. I'm still waiting...

Isn't that City Hunter at the leftmost side of your sig? Might be wrong and it's some other 80's series, but looks a bit like it to me. Or something else. I've seen tons in that style, but meh, my memory fails.

And yeah, the week makes it a bit hard as well. I probably can't edit the topic title, but I'll try and see if I can. If not...

Edit: Looks like I can on this forum, lol. But I still haven't bought much at all even in that period of time due to my laziness, aside from the above...

Nah, that's Kunimi Hiro, from the baseball/youth/romantic-drama H2, by Adachi Mitsuru. I tend to like using him as my avatar. But yeah, Adachi's drawing style is roughly 80's. He's a contemporary of Takahashi Rumiko (creator of Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikkoku, Inuyasha) but not as well known outside of Japan. If any of his major works were translated into English, I'd buy them in a jiffy. But sad to say, they're not.

I usually don't buy anything unless its a really good series and is worth having in my "library" (e.g. Cowboy Bebop, Jin-Roh). However, I've just bought the first three seasons of Slayers (cheap boxsets) because I like later stuff but can't find any downloads for them.

Manga in the past month? Hmm -- used, two volumes of Tower of the Future and volume 1 of The Palette of 12 Secret Colors, and new, the latest volumes of High School Debut and Lovely Complex. I can't remember if volume 4 of King of Thorn squeaks into the month or not.
Today is always the most enjoyable day. Just ask Yotsuba.

Oh shit, how could I have forgotten that? I loved that baseball manga back in the day, lol. Bought a few kanzenban reissues here, but sadly they're quite pricey, so I never got them all. Plus the paper quality and size wasn't as good nor as thin as the RK or DBZ kanzens released, sadly. As it's been only a few hours since my last update and I haven't gone an inch outside of my apartment, I have no updates. Shoot me in the head. >_>

I bought Hoshi no Koe right before I left Japan. After spending a year in Japan, i do not believe I will buy much manga in Sweden. Low quality crap, all of it.

I just finished watching Slayers revolution, and it was terrible. Oh god I hope the first three series are as good as the OVAs and movies (I think the Naga/Lina comedy combo really made the show, now I'm almost dreading the series.).
