    Default Two Different Recomendation Requests...

Hey everyone, I'll just keep this simple. I'm looking for two different types of manga right now.

Anyone know any seinen action Manga that are on Par with Gantz/Vagabond/Zetman/Berserk in terms of plot/action?

Also, if anyone knows any other good manga similar to Monster or 20th century boys, that would also be appreciated.

OH and just for fun...hit me with a good shounen sports title too, i havent read any sports manga but if someone gives me a good one i'll pick it up.

Once again many thanks for whatever gets tossed in here.

Oh and i looked through the last few pages of threads but i didnt see anyone asking for anything similar to monster so i thought i should just start a new thread.

I'll let other handle the action, as I'm pretty sure my only recommendation, Yotsuba&!, is too manly for you to handle.

For shounen sports series, there's nothing better than Adachi's works: Rough (available here) is a good starter series, focusing on swimming. He's better known for the longer baseball series Touch (also here), H2, and the ongoing Cross Game, but you may also be interested in Katsu!, which is a boxing series.

Other possibilities include Air Gear (fanservice ftw), Cross Over, Beach Stars, and Flame of Recca. If you're willing to entertain a shoujo sports series that's actually about the sport (yes, they exist), try Crimson Hero.

Today is always the most enjoyable day. Just ask Yotsuba.

Pseudorandom basically covered everything I'd say in the latter, so I'd just cover the former.

    -Ares
    -Basilisk
    -Eden
    -Battle Royale
    -Anne Freaks
    -Kurozuka
    -Elfen Lied
    -Highschool of the Dead

That ought to give you a good start. If you need more, ask.

For a dark seinen action series I'd highly recommend Kilico. As in, really really highly recommend it. Seconding Eden because it is brilliant as well.

For a shounen sports series I'd recommend Eyeshield 21.

On the Monster front you should try Pluto (also by the same person who drew Monster and 20th CB), Ode to Kirihito and Sanctuary.

definatly try Pluto. Its from the combined work from Urasawa (who made monster and 20cb) and Tezuka (black jack and adolf)

Hmm... most of what I would recommend is already covered, but just adding one more to the sports list: Hajime no Ippo (80 volumes of boxing greatness and ongoing...). Also second everything by Adachi and Eyeshield 21.

    -Dizzy-
Manga Genre Focus: Romance, Comedy, Slice-of-life. Primarily shounen, then seinen and shoujo.

    I also second
    Eden
Basilisk(well watching the anime is more worth it, because they have the same story.)
    Kurozuka

If you want a more action martial arts type. try Ruler of the Land

Hm, ones that weren't mentioned that I'd suggest are Dangu, and Shin Angyo Onshi.
