But the whacked out comedy of the manga made it a superior work. Personally I thought the first episodes of the anime were works of genious (purupurupu~rurin) while the latter slowly lost the charm. The manga however took wilder turns and never ceased to surprise you.
^Yea, I agree. The quality of the anime was kinda like a roller coaster (and thanks, now the song's stuck in my head again x.X).
The manga was too dark and messed up for my taste, so I didn't really enjoy reading it. The mother stumbling in on Sato's masturbation device was hilarious though.
