The tentatively titled "Trigun the Movie" project will feature a completely original story from Nightow and Trigun series director Satoshi Nishimura (Hajime no Ippo/Fighting Spirit, Shin Cho Bakumatsu Shonen Seiki Takamaru), as well as a script by Yasuko Kobayashi (Claymore, Shakugan no Shana, Witchblade anime). Takahiro Yoshimatsu (Jubei-chan - Secret of the Lovely Eyepatch, Ninja Scroll series) will return from the Trigun television series to design the characters that Madhouse will animate. The manga's cover wrapper indicates the story will be about "Vash vs. Wolfwood," the two main characters of the popular manga.
Damn. I thought they'd be able to do at least some slightly more impressive name-dropping. Still, Madhouse do good work on the animation of their movies. Hope it all goes well!

On another note do you think they really mean "Vs." or just the super-robot meaning of "Vs." (where two forces infact unite to defeat a common enemy)?

It would be crazy if they ended up fighting for real. Might destroy a quarter of the planet with bullets and nuclear blasts.lol.

God I hope so, or this is going to be less exciting than that time I saw Ghandi VS Dirty Harry.
