Read Battle Royale. It's possibly one of my favourite action manga of all time.

You did not only list shounen... And Battle Royale is very very seinen. good, but still seinen.

I think perhaps Togari would fit you? It's about a guy who is "evil" as they say and "dead". He has been tortured in hell for some hundred years or more, but gets the chance to come back to the real world and redeem himself by destroying evil. It's hard to explain, but try it. It's very nice.

I would also recommend Battle Angel Alita (or Gunnm as it is also called). Wonderful action scenes and a great story that just gets better and better as the manga progresses. The sequel is good, too, but not quite the same degree of awesomeness, no.

If you like a bit more crazy comedy/action stuff you should try Hareluya II Boy which I was surprised to see hosted on this site. It is about the invincible Hareluya Hibino and his somewhat less invincible friends. Examples of his unique fighting style include using frying pans as projectiles among others. Sadly it has not been completely scanlated.

On a side note, if you like Monster you must read 20th Century Boys by the same mangaka. My personal favorite, it is.

    Read Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

It's an epic action adventure series about the Joestar family. At 91 volumes so far it is one of the longest running manga in Japan however the story is comprised of seperate parts each focusing on a different main character and a different scenario. The first part of the story, Phantom Blood, is only 6 volumes long and follows Jonathan Joestar and his battles against the evil vampire Dio Brando. Along the way he meets companions in a manner akin to One Piece.

It ranks among Fist of the North Star and Dragonball as being one of the most influential and successful shounen series of all time. The initial retro artwork takes some getting used to but stick with it and you're in for the greatest buffet of manliness you'll ever experience.

The setting is a horse race across America in 1890, from San Francisco to NYC, with lots of asskicking in between. Plus collecting the mummy body parts of Jesus while fighting dinosaurs. Really.
Quoted from a comment on Mangaupdates about the latest installment of Jojo's. I mean seriously!? I so have to read this.

I'm pretty bad at descriptions, so I'll just give you the Manga-Updates link for these manga (click on the names). They'll have descriptions. Regardless of description, though, you NEED (I repeat: NEED) to read Berserk.

Berserk (how is it not on your list?!) - Badass guy fights demons in medieval setting. Very awesome. Read more than the first few volumes.
Riki-Oh - Manly man fights bad guys in jail while protecting the weak. Eventually leaves and continues to fight bad guys.
Fullmetal Alchemist - Kids with traumatic past seek a way to restore their bodies. There are armies and strange inhuman creatures. Very good.
Kekkaishi - Two young people protect their school from demons.
Fire Candy - Air Gear with sex, drugs, and furries.
Priest - A priest fights... um... zombies? Can't remember the entire plot at the moment (so read the link).
Tista - Little girl in NYC is secretly a sniper working for the church at night. Also kills bad guys.

And finally, because you know Digi can't see a recommendation thread without saying it, D.Gray-Man (Exorcists of the Catholic church run around destroying what are essentially robotic zombies). Not that it doesn't fit on this list or anything, since it's an excellent shounen manga with action and fighting and all that....

^Yup. I haven't gotten to Steel Ball Run yet, but I hear it's one of the most awesome parts.
