Yeah, it has to do with the anime School Days, but don't watch it. It's horrible, unless you want to see the biggest douche in any series ever made. Was horrible imo.

Just like life? It's probably because of that it's easy to relate to and realistic. The what-ifs, the realistic places and the unsaid words. Spice it up with some interesting thoughts, beautiful music and awesome animation and what do you get? A fucking masterpiece.

Yea, but you forgot the poetic justice at the end.

He wasn't THAT big of a douche, just incredibly virile.

    That wasn't enough.

And I'd beg to differ, find me another main male protagonist that is worst than he in that genre.

/end of off topicness for me.

I've come to the conclusion that all girls are Akari's.

    Fine, I'll amend my statement.

    All heterosexual girls are Akari's.

Well... I only know Tsundere girls, so... And the opposite of Tsundere, when they're nice to begin with, but turn into nasty demons after a couple of months.

    lolz @ beo

you really do like this movie huh? =p

good think stubby showed me the movie first. =p At least the first episode, i pursued more and found the rest myself.

but yeah, as i was saying in CC, i rewatched it and i kind of agree with beo on more closure with kanae. I mean she said what was going to happen and all between the two, but still. It was 10 or so years that have passed since those two had their departure, it'd would be nice to have an episode 3.5 just showing what she decided to do with her life. The VERY last thing u see of her is her watching takaki fly off back to tokyo for school (and the very end of the movie).

As for akari, seeing it for the 5th or so time, i feel like i can forgive her a little this time. I'm not sure why, but i kind of do....Also, do u guys think that she still felt something for him? Even if just a tad bit? I mean why do u think she didn't wait for him? Was she afraid of her past? Did she just not care or so? I mean i have my own theory, but i'd like to hear other people's opinion.

edit: as for my favorite scene, i love the satellite scene when it takes it's course into outer space. It's just so dramatic. Everything falls silent, but the satellite. The colors are gorgeous (of course it was throughout the entire movie), the scenery, everything was perfect. Well i guess my favorite episode would be a close toss up between 2nd and 3rd episode. 2nd because i love the scenery and the things takaki does (i kind of did the same things before) and 3rd because it has the epic ending.

^On the satellite scene: Fully agreed!

But about Akari... I think she did. It's hard to let go of love that you've never finished. Get over, yes, letting go is harder. It will always fret somewhere deep and hit you from time to time like a blast form the past. And that's what I think Akari got when she found the letter. A warm memory that she could still treasure, but her feelings never did mature with her.
