Thread: most violent anime

what is the most violent anime you have ever seen? Name your top 5.

well thats hard because when an anime originated from a manga its most likely cut from all the blood scene. and many other animes are not realy violent either.

well maybe:

-Tokko (for quality read the manga)
-Elfenlied (read the manga and watch the anime^^)
-Hellsing (for quality read the manga)
-Berserk (READ the manga instead)

ED: Oh yeah, Shamo is quite violent, but as far as i know there's no anime.

Ooh that's a tough one. Do you want us to think more about gore or shock factor or brutality or what?

Hmm. For me, probably 3x3 Eyes, followed by Grave of the Fireflies. The next would be probably Simoun, which tells you something about my taste in how violent I like my anime.

Say manga and i can name several dozen say anime.. eh alot of animes that are considered violent has been severely toned down by the manga vez of it.

The only one I can think of off the top of my head for anime is Elfen Lied.

For manga...Tokyo Akazukin.

i havnt seen it... but higurashi seems pretty damn violent

the other obvious ones are elfen lied and berserk.
