Oh, how could I have forgotten about School Days? Even if it's just for one episode...

Hmmm... Im not really into the violent stuff, but here goes in order of descending preference:

1.Battle Angel Alita & Battle Angel Alita: Last Order (nice manga, scans not out on ST though)
2.Fist of the North Star
3.3x3 Eyes
4.Black Lagoon

In terms of gore and violence, BAA and FOTNS are actually quite similar in looks.

+1 for black lagoon & elfen laid

Shonan Junai Gumi - dont have lots of blood but still very violent) every episode have lots of action where one guys beat others almost till death.

FMP - Not alot of blood but lots of robots and gunfire
Ichi the Killer - Not anime, Japanese live action, Horrific violence
