    Also:

    Katsu! (boxing)
    Flame of Recca (ninjas)
    Yotsuba&! (kawaiiko)
Today is always the most enjoyable day. Just ask Yotsuba.

Shamo is violent. It's a bit on the dark side, though.

Hmm... the best one I know of (besides TenTen) is the Korean manhwa Change Guy. About a mind-body switch between a king of fighters and a high school nerd, and how the nerd tries to deal with all the unexpected martial arts that his new body knows... as well as the ton of enemies out to get him. If you want pure martial arts fighting without all the supernatural elements of Tenjou Tenge or Ikkitousen, Change Guy is it. 30+ volumes and counting.

Hajime no Ippo is possibly the longest fighting/sports manga in existence. About a wimpy fisherman's son, Ippo, who wants to learn boxing as a way to get strong. So he applies to become a pro boxer at the start of a journey that ultimately takes him to the Japan championship and then the world. 70+ volumes and still ongoing.

And then, of course, there are the comedies...

Ranma 1/2 tells the story of Saotome Ranma, heir to the school of Anything-Goes Martial Arts, who becomes engaged to the daughter of his father's fellow student. The trouble is, because of an accident in China, Ranma now turns into a girl whenever he is splashed with cold water, and turns back into a guy when splashed with hot water. This creates a lot of confusion and merriment, and makes Ranma go all out in a search to restore his lost manhood. In the meantime, he has to deal with a host of characters who all know martial arts and take part in various martial arts competitions about everything and anything - from Martial Arts Tea Ceremony to Martial Arts Cheerleading, to Martial Arts Ice Skating and Martial Arts Eating...

Noritaka "The King of Fighters" tells the story of Noritaka, a skinny, weak, absolutely loser-like boy who constantly embarasses himself. When he is rejected by the girl he likes, who says she likes strong guys, he tries to learn martial arts and tumbles upon a teacher who knows Muay Thai kickboxing. From then on, Noritaka begins to learn kickboxing and challenge the best fighters from the other martial arts clubs in his school. Even though he wins, the methods he uses end up in extremely weird and embarrassing victories.

    -Dizzy-
Manga Genre Focus: Romance, Comedy, Slice-of-life. Primarily shounen, then seinen and shoujo.
