^Nah. Clannad is only good for the laughs, otherwise it's mostly corny. It depends on what you value of comedy or romance if you should watch it.

Thank you, but I own both the manga and anime of Love HIna and Ranma 1/2. Great series, both of them (didn't care much for the Love Hina anime, but the manga was excellent)

Anyway, thank you very much, everyone. I've just now finished every romantic comedy series I could find and was recommended (I've decided to stick with the manga on the various series by Adachi) I've lost a ton of sleep because of it (I actually haven't slept a wink since the day I started requesting, and have watched many series before I even came here), but I'm definately happy I got to watch so many great and/or touching series.

This has left me with a craving for more, though. I feel empty now that I've watched everything that I had intended. I doubt there's very many decent romantic comedy series left out there I haven't watched, so now I'm trying to figure out what other genre I like.

I know I like fantasy comedy (series like Slayers or Zero no Tsukaima) but I don't know of any other series similar to that, either. Oh well.

Anyway, thank you all for the help this past week and a half.

I don't know how I missed this, but... It's more comedy than romance, but... Angel Densetsu. It has a very special place in my heart.

And REC, the anime. It's quite short, but worth checking out. The manga is good, too, and longer, but the comedy works better animated. I especially like the setting of this one.

Oh, be sure to check out Katteni Kaizo by the mangaka of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. It has some more extreme humour. Except Yotsuba, this one has made me laugh hardest.

But these are last I have that might fit your requests.

Has Angel Densetsu been completely translated? I've started reading it from here, and I'm completely hooked. But it doesn't seem like every issue is available here

Not completely, no. But they're up to the last volume.
Today is always the most enjoyable day. Just ask Yotsuba.

Argh, something happened in volume 3 of REC that has completely destroyed my spirit and my desire to read the rest of the series.

Darn it, why did that have to happen? That was one of my three "taboos"; Things that happen in anime or manga that make me feel utterly horrible for days on end, and completely shatter my spirit.

It was good up until that point, though. I'm going to go curl up into a ball and cry, now

Heh. Reminds me of the time when I first encountered Adachi. I read Rough, Nine, Hiatari Ryoukou, Touch and Katsu in a 16-hour manga marathon.

In any case, there's still hope! Hmmm... admittedly, most of the best romantic anime got mentioned already, but if you're willing to go back to manga, there's a TON more interesting/touching series to read. (Of which, Living Game should prove to be a nice antidote to REC's manga, and Skip Beat or Hot Blooded Woman jump to the top of the list.)

But anyway, in terms of other anime recommendations (fantasy comedy and otherwise), perhaps Fruits Basket? You're likely to have watched it already, but the anime has some good comedic as well as touching moments (Momiji's and Hatori's stories FTW). Alternatively, Kaze no Stigma may be enjoyable, partly because of the romantic comedy elements, though it ends with a "life goes on"... School Rumble is another hilarious love comedy series, with two decently animated seasons, and the manga continuing the story past that. I've also heard really good recommendations of Jungle wa Itsumo Hale nochi Guu as a comedy, though I haven't found time to watch it myself. And I found Rozen Maiden (1st season) pretty interesting and enjoyable. You may like it as well~desu. (The second season is also good, but doesn't end as well as the 1st season... through no fault of its own).

Thank you very much for continuing to recommend series to me. I'll start with Living Game. Based on the description, the setting sounds pretty similar to REC. God, I hope the same kind of thing doesn't happen -.- I don't need that kind of emotional turmoil.

Since I like manga better than anime, I have no problems with sticking to manga. The whole point of this topic originally was to find anime to watch before actually reading the manga, since the manga tends to be far better and makes the anime seem lackluster in comparison.

But manga series are perfectly fine, as well. Anyway, thank you yet again
