Thread: Suggestions for Good Comedy Anime

Can anyone tell me any good comedy anime. Doesn't matter what kind of comedy, wether it be action or romance of ecchi. I've watched :

... um thats all i can think of for now... I KNOW i've watch tons more... just can't think of any others.

Excel Saga
Full Metal Panic Fumoffu (The funniest series I've watched, tbh)

All I can think of atm.

No, Yotsuba&! has not been animated. More's the pity.

The only one I'd add is Azumanga Daioh, and that's been covered.

Ranma 1/2 and Urusei Yatsura are old but still funny.

Sailor Moon has plenty of comedic moments in the anime (and it's one of the only animes that I really like despite differing from the manga).

Inuyasha isn't really funny, but it's funnier than a lot of the ones you've mentioned.

Lovely Complex is all about humour, and it's only covered the good parts so far.

And even though I hate it, have you tried Ouran Koukou Host Club?

Hmm... still some more to go.

Hayate no Gotoku about a poor high school boy turned butler for a rich ojou-sama, with parodies of tons of other manga.
Lucky Star is a yonkoma manga turned anime about four school girls and their everyday conversations. One is a manga/game otaku, which causes tons of merriment.
Ranma 1/2, if you're willing to read/watch one of the old but classic gender-bender comedies.
Great Teacher Onizuka (manga is probably funniest of the three versions) about a former biker gang leader turned teacher and given the homeroom class from Hell.
Bottle Fairy is about a bunch of moe fairies doing moe things. Occasionally funny.
Nodame Cantabile is mildly funny as well, about a tense wannabe-conductor Chiaki and his encounters with the free-spirited Nodame who breaks all the rules and yet plays beautiful music.
Doujin Work is a new series that's just starting, but is quite funny. A girl wants to enter the doujinshi world in order to make money, yet tries hard not to get 'infected' by the doujin-otakus.

... Man, restricting this to just anime is hard. I know at least 5 more great comedy mangas that never made it to screen.

I watched most of the rozen maidens but didn't think it was very funny, maybe the manga is different but I don't think I'm gonna read it.

yeah....that was mentioned before...

well, i'd say Pani Poni Dash (full of randomness, such as aliens, godly cats, and a 10-yr-old teacher).
also try Fruits Basket and/or Girls Bravo.
